What new (to you) thing are you trying on your next trip?

New to us next trip will be not staying at the D. It was the first hotel we stayed at when we started going to Las Vegas in 2008, back when it was still Fitzgeralds, and we have done at least a couple nights there every trip since-14 visits in all. Husband as of the current offers still gets two free nights but only Sunday-Thursday even though we both played on his card last trip. We are planning on moving our downtown play to the Four Queens, paying for three nights there. We will use whatever food credit and free play offers are available in September along with zeroing out his comp balance and then put the D in our rear view mirror. Not sure if the diminishing offers are due to a general tightening of comps or the fact that he got a hand pay before we even got in our room last year. I haven’t been crazy about their selection of slots for quite a while. That, along with the demise of the coffee shop and the fact that Circa doesn’t seem like our kind of vibe, is what prompted the move. I have always preferred the slots at 4Q, we are both big fans of Magnolia’s, and the comps seem quite fair. It remains to be seen what kind of room offers our play might generate. At this stage of our lives we would rather pay for rooms than get them “free” while wishing we were somewhere else.

I have never attended Punk Rock Bowling, but I will this year.
