I got an email about an offer that was just labeled Best Rates Available. I could call VIP or book online. I checked online and it doesn't look like any kind of deal to me. I am just curious as to what it is.

On a odd note I had no gambling history with this place last year and had offers of free nights, cheap room rates, resort credit and possible freeplay. I played a bit here on my last trip. Not as much as I would have liked but more than last year and those offers mentioned above are no more.

Many places will send "generic" email blasts to people that may also be able to get much better offers. Just how email marketing works.

You might get a little more help if you include more about the offer and where it is.

That's the resort's polite way of saying "you don't deserve a comped room anymore but we still want you to come here and blow your money, so here's a $10 discount".

I've moved from Mlife to TR and have basically no play at MGM resorts for the past 6 months or so, so now I also get the dreaded "prevailing rate" offers. After the loyalty I showed MGM for 5 years and the coin-in I dropped in their resorts, it's a little disappointing, but I get the economics of it. No play - no stay.

You are perfectly right!

Thanks and that's what I thought. It's odd that I had free room offers with pluses with no gambling history and now with some play they say I don't qualify for anything. Mlife.

Maybe. Maybe not.

I get offers for suites, and FP, and food.
I also get offers for discounted rooms.

I do not know if you got that offer based on play, or part of a larger mass mailing.
