    Could be breakfast...
    Could be lunch....
    Could be dinner.....

Me? I usually fly early, so we always have McDonalds the night before.
Crazy? Eh, it works for us.
    * There is a small Italian restaurant in Mitchell at the end of Southwest's terminal that we do have ''boarding pizza'' at.

I usually eat very light the day before, salads, because I know I'm going to over indulge in Vegas!

I usually fly late afternoon, so I stop at Mo's at PDX and have a bowl of chowder and a shrimp/coleslaw salad. If the button hasn't popped off my pants by then, I go down to the McDonalds for a chocolate milkshake. That's dessert.

We always have a packed fridge. So, it's left overs that won't make it 'til our return the day before we fly out.

Since I usually fly to Vegas in the evening, my "Vegas day" is usually a bit of an easy-going morning/afternoon before heading to the airport that primarily consists of (i) an extravagant brunch and (ii) packing, since I cannot do a complete pack the day before.

It's usually very much planned out on whatever my last grocery shop is before the trip. Below is my "last meal" pre-Vegas. Crazy to think this was less than six months ago :(

I've had other variants based on whatever the craving of the minute is. But usually pretty much without fail, I'll be cooking up something both for the sake of having exactly what I want to get me into a great mood for the day/trip, and because I love cooking so much and I know it will be my last opportunity to do it for however long my trip is.

Usually something really healthy and lots of water (given that I'm about to fly and then be in a desert). Typically it's a Nutrisystem dinner with lots of steamed veggies or a big salad.

I don't want to spend 11 hours on a plane after a heavy meal, so usually I just have a protein smoothie, and that keeps me good until we eat on the plane.

I know I am going to be feasting for the following month, so can abstain for another day :)

When we know we're going away we start to "clean out the fridge and freezer" like a couple weeks before the trip. Esp that I know we're going to be eating out for at least the next week or so. So not too much eating out before we leave

A couple of times I've made something like pasta sauce to make sure we have something fresh to come home to. But I try not to leave so much.

So usually the night before the trip we're having leftovers at home.

If I'm leaving in the morning, I'll do breakfast at any of several places. I don't want to make anything at home that will need cleaning up.

I usually have a morning flight, so I have breakfast at the airport. Nothing fancy, just a breakfast sandwich and coffee at one of the fast food places like McD's, Dunkin Donuts, or whichever place has the shortest line. LOL

PB&J, doesn’t matter what time I fly out. Not sure why, but I’ve done it for probably 15 years.

Last couple of trips, my pre-Vegas meal has been a bacon grilled cheese on sourdough from the restaurant in the terminal.
