Saw this strolling through the Wild Wild West casino between Ballys and Caesars in AC over the weekend. Looked like a skill-based first person shooter game
i don't know for sure what that is but i had read somewhere that the casinos or game manufacturers were looking at some of these arcade style games to get todays "gamers" involved. i'd guess that the number of gamers out there compared to gamblers has to be at least 10-1. i'm a firefighter in a college town and we occassionally have runs to rental houses where maybe four or five guys all live together. i've yet to see one that didn't have a game system hooked up and i've seen several that will have multiple tvs set up with different gaming systems attatched to each.
There was a bank of these games - maybe 8 of them located right next to the beer-pong tables at the Wild Wild West. That area of the casino is hopping with millenials and drunken college kids listening to live cover bands on Friday and Saturday nights, so these games are very strategically located.
None in vegas video says they have applied. http://www.geek.com/games/atlantic-city-to-have-first-video-game-gambling-machines-1672555/
So did you end up trying it? I am not impressed with the videos in terms of graphics/control. Also the paytable is really flat if I'm reading it right. Half your money back for killing 6? Make the cutoff 7 and up the prizes for 8 to 10 and make them more valuable...
I couldn't because I was towing two minors and we couldn't pause for any appreciable period of time; I was lucky to have time to shoot that quick video!
