what is the latest checkout time you've been able to negotiate at cosmo?

I'm going to be staying at Cosmo at the end of February. I'll be running a tower race up the Stratosphere . Unfortunately, the tower race is at 7am on Sunday and standard checkout time is 11am.

I'd like to catch a nap after the tower race so I'd like to nap until 11am which means I would need a 1pm checkout time. Ideally I'd like to nap until 1pm which would put me at a 3pm checkout time.

So I was wondering, what's the latest checkout time you've been able to negotiate at Cosmo? I would consider paying extra for a later checkout time but I'm really just trying to understand what my options are and what's possible.

 

4pm last time as I had a late flight.

 

@irm - thanks this is great info! how did you arrange this? did you simply ask the front desk what they could give you as latest possible check out time? did they charge you extra for this? were you able to arrange this b/c you're a member of some type of hotel membership/rewards program or were you able to get a 4pm checkout time just by asking?

 

I was there on a mailed comp, so I walked into the HL room and asked a slot host if they could arrange and they did. No charge. (I think it's a benefit for the top level of the Identity program, but I'm not that high up!)

 

I called Cosmo and the lady appeared to indicate a standard checkout time of noon although I think 11am is stated on their website and in the room reservation email.

The lady at Cosmo said I could pay $40 to check out @ 1pm or $80 to check out @ 3pm.

Pretty pricy but since I'll be out late drinking and then running up the Stratosphere @ 7am paying extra for a power nap may be worth it

 

$80 for 3pm? I think 12pm is the standard check out, so that's expensive.

 

Damn, I got 2pm automatically just by asking but I'm an Elite Marriott Rewards member.

Also, if you book through FHR on Amex Platinum, 4pm checkout is automatic just by asking. You have to book, not pay, on the Amex.

 

I have gotten in the habit of just booking an extra night so that I do not have to call and ask and chance a late check out.
