I thought they were all Mikes except for one of them.
I’m playing $.50 DDB, but the $.25 JoB progressive is looking juicy.
My uncle got quad 10s. He usually bets one but bumped it up to max when I wasn’t looking (he’s just like his sister - my mom).
And then immediately I got quad aces.
Long long drain. Was starting to get worried about blowing too much of my bankroll on first day. Was down to my last bet on yet another hundy. And then. Bam!
Nice pull with the Aces!
Great to see you te doing vegas again
Im at schiphol airport i will arrive about 10pm this evening
The two premium quads were my only hits on $.50 DDB. Played a bit of $1 JOB and had a few hits and near misses.
Then played a quick session of craps. The table was cold and I wasn't having fun so I colored up and headed up to the room to re-hydrate, read a bit, and try to get to sleep (but Fremont Experience is loud, yo). Ended the day down $100 - $25 on VP and $75 on Craps.
Catching up on dinner - it was fantastic and I very much enjoyed being able to treat Aunt and Uncle to a nice dinner. They've always been v. generous with me, so nice to be able to do something for them for a change. (sorry for dark pics - did my best with the lighting down there)
Started with a Raspberry Lemon Drop
Bottle of Zinfandel for the table
Bread and Butter
NY Strip w/ Blue Cheese
Aunt also had the NY strip - they were a little tough and had more gristle than expected. Still super tasty and much bigger than the 10 ounces we ordered, so we ended up with more good steak than we could eat. Would probably opt for the filet next time instead. Although it may just have been an off night for the steak supplier - my strip last visit was superb. Uncle got salmon which he raved about, but I failed to photo.
Love Hugo's! Thanks for the update!
Loving this report! I can't believe how many straight flushes you had on the cruise! Time for a Royal now.
We are headed to Vegas later this week, first stay at Plaza for us as well. Can't wait.
Still recovering from watching Tiger's epic win yesterday and our Jets also finally won a game too! They play Thursday again, we will have to find a spot to watch and cheer.
Love how you're living it up in between jobs! Can't wait to see more from your Vegas adventure!
I always wanted to try Hugo's Cellar, looks good. Enjoying your report and pics.
I have been to Hugo's Cellar about 6 times and the first 5 times it was awesome. I try to go each time I visit. However, when I was there in March it was kind of disappointing. The service was still excellent, but the food just wasn't as good as it had been in the past. Everyone in my group (I meet with them each time) agreed and we decided it is time to find a new place to meet next time.
Sorry to hear that - I was hoping our steaks being not perfect was an anomaly. My uncle loved his salmon - maybe that will be the way to go in the future. I get so many comps from Four Queens that it's hard to get through them all.
Good morning Las Vegas!
When this happens to me, I think it's a sign that a royal is going to hit. At least that is what I tell myself to make myself feel better. I hope I see a $4K royal here soon!
Great report...gets me stoked for my trip three weeks from today!
Up $250 pretty quick on $1 JoB. Took a bit of a walk.
The D is still awesome upstairs and way too loud downstairs.
Fremont is still kind of meh for me.
Binions is even more of a ghost town than last time I wandered through. It’s like the don’t even want players.
Up at Chicago Brewing with $.50 DDB and root beer.
Keeping me in the game.
Bartender suggested vanilla vodka and root beer for my next drink.
It’s pretty good.
That does look good.
