I am grateful that America 'created' Las Vegas just so that poor, retired teachers like me can indulge high-living fantasies a couple of times a year!

Yes! My husband probably won't retire from teaching for a bit but it is a nice get-away for sure!
Lots of teachers on this board, it seems. You guys and gals should arrange a "continuing education" meet in Vegas. ;)

I am grateful that my test results for suspected cancer came back negative yesterday and just a minor health issue so I can go to Vegas in a couple of days without that worry and continue to annoy my hubby for many years to come :)

My grandfather was a dairy farmer, owned/operated a dairy and bred show cows.

Happy to be healthy and able to ride my bike out to the beautiful, boiling Pacific Ocean this morn. Now it is off to lunch at one of our fave little cafes and then a drive through wine country (with a stop, of course).

I have so much to be grateful for, but right now I am grateful that I am going to Vegas in 21/2 weeks, with my lovely 82 yr old Mom, who is also my bestie. Every year I order if she will still want to make the trip, and so far so good. Hoping for many more!

I'm not so grateful that I have finally come own with the plague that has been going around all winter, but I am grateful to have it now, so I have time to get over it before V time.

I'm looking forward to a quiet day at home doing laundry and packing.
And providing guidance to the minions as they pack for their stay at their grandparents'.
A handful of days without the internet or television (my folks have neither) will do them some good.
My dad has several jobs on the farm he's been saving for them!

In a few short days I'm be enjoying tea and strumpets with my bride in London! :D

I hope you and your bride have a wonderful vacation in London.
Would be nice to see a trip report when you get back. :hmmm:
Don't forget to try out a scone or biscuit along with those other things you mentioned while having tea.

I've said it before and Imma gonna say it again: I'm really clueless. I thought strumpet was a pastry, lol! So I looked it up and said, "Oh....that kind of pastry....;))

We refer to that kind of pastry as a tart.
