My wife likes to start the early morning with her diet Mt. Dew loaded with ice.
I assume others like to make drinks in their room.
Most places has turned off their ice machines due to the virus and don't believe Wal-Greens or CVS sells ice.

What is everyone doing to acquire ice for the in-room drinks?

Being a former CVS manager we always sold ice unless things changed recently.

Call room service for ice? Also, if you find a take-out place w/any kind of styro containers/larger cups, styro helps keep the ice longer.

I’m an ice person too. Is this just a Vegas thing? We got back last week from Harrahs North Kansas City and the ice machines were on and working.

In Ohio all self serve food service should be shut down includes drinking fountains, ice, soda all condiments etc...

Even no free popcorn at RuralKing

Even though in the hotel they had the ice machine working, the casino had taken out all the self service drink areas. They also had shut down all restrooms in casino except one on each floor.

I can't speak to every location of either, but the CVS between Aria and Park MGM absolutely sells ice.

I stayed at the Flamingo a month ago and the ice machine on the hotel floor was working and available.

I was in LV June 15-22 and stayed at The D & The Orleans. Both places had working ice machines available. No idea about the strip. I didn't know they turned any of them off.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like the ice machines could actually be up and running, but if not, nice to read there are options.

This is SUCH a great thread @LV_Bound ! We are all trying to prepare for "what might be missing" in Vegas, and I NEVER thought of this. Great thread for ideas!

That's good to know. I'm staying at Cosmo in a few weeks.

Does anyone know if the CVS across from Cosmo sells those white coolers? My plan was to buy one of those and a bag of ice.
