@Castle , your experience seems much like mine, except my first trip to Vegas was in 1996, and I still haven't "solidified my places to play & stay" as you put it! I love visiting casinos I haven't seen before. In my 15 or so trips to Vegas (probably 20 total hotel stays), the only properties I have stayed at more than once were the Stratosphere (2 times, 20+ years ago), Luxor (2 times -- I just love the idea that my hotel is a pyramid), and the Cal (3 times -- I really like the DT casinos, but FSE can get a little too crazy for us at times. Being a block away lets us "Experience" Fremont St. as much or as little as we like.)

I, too, believe that I am leaving comps on the table by spreading my gambling around. However, the flip side is that I sometimes get teaser offers from the new places I go. For example, a little bit of drop-in play got me a 3-night offer at the Wynn.

As far as where I like to play... DT, it's mostly Club One and Plaza -- good games, and they seem to still appreciate their players, even if the ones who play mostly full pay VP. I like the Cal because of their coin-dropper VP. If they get rid of those machines, they will see considerably less of me.

Off-strip, I do like the Stations properties I have visited. Red Rock & Green Valley Ranch are both very nice properties, and the have good games. Last I stayed at each, they still had a few >100% VP machines. Ellis Island is a low-roller's paradise for both gaming and food, and walkable from the Strip, even though I never seem to be able to win there.

Out on Boulder Hwy, I really like Sam's Town, and believe it or not, the Skyline -- our last visit in 2022, they still had coin-dropper VP and $5 3:2 BJ (on the weekends). Ya, it's a bit divey, but it just has that old-school charm. I hear the hotel is very nice as well; we've toyed with the idea of staying there.

I only play craps. I like Park because it’s smoke free and the table felt is cushy so dice don’t sound like they are getting smacked when they land.

I also like Planet Hollywood for the repeater bets on the crapless game

I hate Caesar’s Palace because they rate me poorly and don’t seem to care about players at all

Also get frustrated at Luxor because the dealers are green and slow and the music is way too loud

Harrahs dealers tend to constantly ask you for tokes and that is annoying

This is one of my all time pet peeves! When dealers start hustling tips I color up and walk

    Aztec Inn casino.

Because I like the vibe there. The only place you could enjoy the naked homeless people scenes from air-conditioned environment.
Besides, they also have "over 98% payback" video pokers.

Mgm properties only atm. Always doing 7 day trips since 11h flight. I love to jump from casino to casino and play all day every day so having the possibility to switch casinos and earn comps at all of them is awesome. Mgm also seems to be very good to europeans :) mostly stay at the lower end properties to get max. RC like NYNY and Luxor. Also love the staff at both of them.
Thinking about trying something new by splitting up my play next time 50/50 mgm and ceasers to see what offers they provide as there is also the 10x tier multiplier happening at my next trip. Downtown i usually visit once or twice per trip for some party / gambo action but couldnt stay there for a whole week

Great thread! I typically do vegas for a short weekend, so 2-3 nights max. I keep my gaming action downtown. Typically I try to game where I stay and that’s been with mostly with Club One properties and Plaza. But I also enjoy QQQQ for old school slot action and ElCo for the table scene.

All that said, club one has by far been the most generous with offers. I think I’ve gotten luckier there, resulting in more coin in or something. I’m sure I’ve lost about as much money at Plaza but don’t really get anything worthwhile from them…

Finally, I feel like the Stevens properties are aiming a little more at millennials like me. I noticed the Circa music includes way more songs from my high school years, which I like. Plaza seems more gen x in music selection and QQQQ will have Fleetwood Mac or something similar on lol. Nothing wrong with that but does maybe speak to their target demos.

Jejas is right might be the best bartop VP on the strip.
