I still consider myself fairly new to gambling compared to others on the board and tend to gamble at many places on my Vegas trips.

I like to go around collecting minimal freeplay and doing fun promotions. Sometimes I like trying places out to see if they will make my gambling rotation (current trip I visited Tuscany, Silver sevens, palms, rio, and Fontainebleau for the first time)

maybe in a year or 2 from now I will solidify the places I stay and play, but right now I’m in my exploration period. Wondering the reasoning others have for gambling where they do. I probably hurt my comp offers by moving around so much

My current properties that I significantly play at are Club one and Four Queens due to good video poker, and Caesars since I frequent Reno.

On the trial chopping block is Rio, palms, Fontainebleau, and Tuscany

I stay Mandalay Bay but play at Excalibur. It seems slots pay of better and drink service is better too.

Any reason why mgm vs other casino operators? Have you tried others, or did mgm just become one and done

I played at Caesars before, but now switched over to the mgm universe due to better comps and nicer amenities. I think you can give mgm resorts a try too so you can compare for yourself.

There was a point I was getting $40fp $100 food at Luxor but recently I have just been doing myKONAMI free play and my offers are now non existent. I may play a bit again and see how it goes. My room at Vdara last year was one of the best I’ve stayed at (may even prefer Vdara over my Paris nice suite)

I am a Caesars player, so I play at all of their properties (nationwide). But I live in Las Vegas and my local casino is Aliante (Boyd) and I play there a good bit as well as the California (Boyd) downtown when I go down on Thursdays to listen to music at Don't Tell Mamas (California will comp me a dinner almost any time I go down whether I play or not -- Aliante will not as they check every penny that I have dropped in a machine -- kind of odd since they are both Boyd...but I digress). I also play at the Palms (I like their comps) and once in a while at the Sahara (pretty good comps plus I play up in Reno at Grand Sierra Resort (their partner).

    CET Where:
Horseshoe ...Mostly I play Blackjack, 3-Card & Mississippi Stud
    Paris: Slots (with the Mrs.),
Planet Hollywood: 3-Card, slots (with the Mrs.)
WHY: proximity to Paris HQ & CET membership
    Non-CET Where:
We generally play (+/- $500 each) at the 'let's check this out', which is probably Bellagio, Aria & Cosmo, and would be slots.
WHY: We just happen to waltz into these on an annual basis
    Coming in September:
Gold Coast, Palms, Rio (maybe table games, some slots) @ $500 max.
WHY: This is our day 'off the strip to do something' during 4-day stays.
Online Sports Betting: Seminole 'Hard Rock Bet' app only. Here in the Free State of Florida, we're not exactly 'free' to use other apps, as the Seminole Tribe holds the monopoly down here. We visit the SHR in Tampa, maybe twice per year, as it just seems to pale in comparison to Vegas.

'Cause once per annum is insufficient...

Race and sports book at the Wynn because it's such an awesome space. Blackjack at either Gold Coast or Orleans because I love their double deck games though I guess they're all 6:5 these days. Video Poker at any bar in any casino if I want a drink.

I prefer to play at the offstrip locations, primarily Red Rock, South Point, and Ellis Island. The biggest why is several reasons: 1) as a table games player it’s the lower table minimums, 2) the wife can find slots that she is willing to play while I’m at a table for hours, and 3) the ability to maintain comp levels without having to shell out a ton of money.

The first trip to Vegas was back in 2017 and stayed at SP, and found the property to have everything needed and not be over the top. On our last trip to Vegas we stayed for the first time on the strip (Caesars Palace), and to be honest, it was too much. The crowd, chaos, and costs. The wife and I prefer a more relaxed environment for our trips and find the offstrip locations provide that for us, but we can go into the choas for awhile and leave when we want the downtime.

*SP and Ellis Island can be busy but we still prefer that opposed to the choas of the strip or downtown.

I'm primarily a poker player with South Point and Golden Nugget being my favorite places mostly due to the fact that I have a habit of winning there.

Love, love, love me some Sigma Derby at The D and Vue Bar.

I find the bars at South Point to be friendly for a little VP and a drink right before bed.

Local joints have much better service than large resorts. McMullan's, Mr D's, Moon Doggies and O'Aces are among my favorites. I know someone will mention the pay tables aren't as good but the atmosphere makes up for it.

Very interesting so far, I would think there would be more people that stay and play at mgm. I am liking the many Off-Strip choices

I play a lot at the MGM properties - especially the Bellagio (I really like their craps dealers). I like to casino hop and that gives me a lot of casinos to play at and pool my comps.

Now I play primarily at CET because the closest major brand casino to where I live is CET.
When I lived in SoCal, I played primarily at the Mirage, V/P, or the Hard Rock.
Aside from that, I’ve never liked playing in the MGM universe unless I stayed at one due to a conference, then I’d only play minimally.

Bellagio and Aria mostly with Cosmo and a few others mixed in. Used to play at CET because 7 stars was easy for me to get to and the stuff that comes along with that, but the properties have gone into such decline I jumped ship a couple years ago. Thinking about adding in FB now and may try a few days at Rio.

95% at CET properties because I can get a comped room all over the country plus Windsor and Atlantis. I play some weekly at my local MGM Northfield but they’re stingy. I do get free Pepsi though.

Well, it was Mirage (especially back when it was owned by MGM), but now I'm shifting to MGM properties, and specifically Bellagio when I can. I hate to reward the big companies with their terrible odds, comps, etc., but I can't deny they have the hotels at which I want to stay and play. In the end, I'm a Strip person, rather than downtown or off Strip, and at my very low-roller level, I'm just playing for fun mixed in with wandering.

When I'm off the Strip, Red Rock is my absolute favorite and I almost always make a trip out there at least once when I'm in Vegas. In my humble opinion, it's the best all-around casino in town when figuring in quality, size, games and odds offered, etc.

I like to play where I stay, which is Park/NoMad. Honestly, it's the non-smoking that is the top reason I like it there. I also enjoy video poker at Chandelier & sports book at Cosmo. Table games -- craps can be found for $10 at Excalibur, and that's fun.

I usually stay at Luxor or Excalibur (because of buffet and comp room availability they being the lowest grade in MGM) but because I mostly play table games the blackjack paying 3 to 2 $25 $50 per hand is only at Mandalay Bay in the evenings on weekdays. Luxor and Excalibur no 3 to 2 tables. And most if not all uses continous shuffler at Luxor Excalibur which casino can probably know the card in my suspicious theory so I would gladly avoid.

The Grand NYNY Park MGM mostly use a shoe game but even at $25 it is 6 to 5.

Bellagio to Aria too expensive. No comp room.

If you are looking for comps and good BJ, have you tried downtown Fremont properties?

Haha Boyd is worse as I have said in previous discussion board for comp room after 2022 for low roller blackjack. I would get some free foods at Boyd three downtown properties after playing two to three hours double deck 15 to 25 per hand. Never ever got free rooms downtown Boyd. Before 2022 yes at similar play level for Boyd local Gold Coast Sam's Town Suncoast the Orleans after getting free foods there WAS still free rooms at weekdays.
