Can anyone tell me what are the benefits of an Mlife Discover card? Does it automatically bump you into a higher tier? I've read on here that you can use it for priority check in... Does that count the VIP check in I've seen at MGM?

It looks very much like a black card and I've seen that card be able to jump the taxi line.

Maybe even cut the buffet line???

I think that the only level jump that you get is to Pearl, which gets you head of the line buffet and free self parking.

    PEARL LEVEL BENEFITS

    • Complimentary Self Parking at Las Vegas Resorts
    • Buffet Line Pass at Las Vegas Resorts
    • 10% Bonus on Points and Express Comps for your gaming spend.
However, my understanding of the card terms is that although you get Pearl level, you don't receive any Tier Credits, so if you want to move up to Gold level, you will start from zero.

You get automatic upgrade to pearl status, which is where the buffet pass perk comes in as a pearl reward.

Yes, you also get priority check-in at Mlife properties which is a nice bonus.

Another great bonus is that you get 10,000 PointPlay bonus by spending $1,000 in total within the first 3 statements. That's equal to $100 in express comps or free play.

You also get 2x rewards (points and tier credits) on gas and other things which may not be as good as you get on other rewards cards. The bonus points 3x points and tier credits you get when you use it on spending at Mlife properties is pretty sweet, though.

Dai'Lun is correct. You get the pearl but you don't get the tier credits. Also, the 10,000 point bonus I mentioned does not go towards your tier credits, either. Any other spending you do on the card goes towards both points and tier credits, though, including the first $1,000 you spend to get the 10,000 point bonus.

I think the MLife card is a Master card, not a Discover card. At least mine is.

Master Card yes. I use mine almost daily and have gotten about $200 in free play plus the initial $100. You lose the Pearl status after a year if you don't earn it in a casino.

That might be my fault: I called it Discover in another thread. I used mine to get the 10,000 point sign-up bonus months ago and use it once every other month to keep it refreshed. I always forget which type of card it is.

Slightly off-topic: as I've mentioned in another thread recently, consider supplementing your Mlife card with better rewards cards. My primary daily card is the American Express Blue Cash Preferred. The Blue Cash Everyday may be better for you if you don't put a lot on your CC every month. Always pay rewards card balances to $0 every month though, as the interest accrued by keeping a balance will wipe out your rewards gained due to the cards having high interest rates.

You can't use the MLife Mastercard to jump a taxi line. The card you've probably seen is a Noir Mlife Players card, which is black. The only other card that would allow you to jump the taxi line would be a Platinum MLife Players Card.

I jump the taxi line all the time with my Mlife MC.... by calling an Uber, instead.

I could be wrong, but as long as you use your MLife MC you will remain Pearl.
