What are you playing? Which casino(s)? Where? What level are you at?
    We are missing something here.

I was going regularly to Atlantic City and then CET decided I wasn't worth free buffets anymore. So I haven't been there for a couple of months. I'm going to a convention in AC this weekend and guess what? I'm not going to eat ANY meals at Harrah's because they cut my comps. I also transferred about half my CET play to the Borgata because they take care of me better (free buffets, rooms, more freeplay, and free show tickets.) If I wasn't traveling with friends who only play at Harrah's, I wouldn't even stay there this weekend. Remember that capitalism is a two way street. You can always take your business elsewhere.

You keep going on days where you can get $5 freeplay or a wheel spin for $5+ freeplay with minimal play. Considering the way I think you play, this is actually a great setup for you. Why would you expect mailers beyond the promos you are already redeeming? Are you consistently losing $30+ per visit? If not, you probably don't have enough ADT to earn a $5 mailer. And at many casinos, a $5 mailer is the smallest they will offer. I did get $3 from Ameristar once. Lol

Most casinos don't give me shit because my ADT is often $20 or less at most places I visit. I definitely don't expect them to give me anything though.

And for $5 worth of slot play downloaded from accumulated "point play", I would expect someone who plays slots at a CET property to lose $500 to earn that $5 slot play from their "rewards credits". And a 40% return out of a 10-20 spin sample is more frequent than you think. Most comp value comes from mailers, not from "point play".

As for breeze, he needs to play at casinos that will rate him no matter what. 8 hours at $5/hand still might get a little something, particularly downtown/offstrip.

I have been told that I cannot be rated because I play low roller tables (BJ, 3CP and Craps), know how to play and never lose money more than my buy in.
If I moved up to $25+, I would get comped out the ass.
As for slots and VP, I guess I get bored real quick and move on.
Texas Hold 'Em, I only play cash games at the lowest level possible.

Places that aren't mlife tell you this? I thought CET and Boyd will rate any player. But I am just going off of what I read here. 3CP should gain comps at the $5 level, esp if you're playing pair plus!

As for live poker, you rarely get anything above the $1-2/hr of comp or whatever, but better than nothing.

I play at Gulfstream Park, Hialeah Park Casino, and Miami Jai Alai. Gulfstream is the one that really ticked me off with their insulting Comp! Hialeah is the one where they give every cardholder free play on a constant basis. Miami Jai Alai is good in that many of their slots are split symbols, meaning that two symbols together of the same symbol count as a double win, for example, in Princess Of Paradise slot, 2 double Princess is worth a quarter I think, and 5 doubles count as a $25 win. It can be very lucrative if you constantly are getting 5 doubles of her. :)

My battle buddy played minimums all week last week and he got $120 in comps off his bill. He never bet more than $10. Mirage. I don't think I have ever had a sneer from a pit worker at even Bellagio with $10 minimums and have always earned points/eComps before the change they made late last year on eComps. He ended up getting more in comps off his bill than he lost and was stoked about it.

    For 5 bucks!

Don't chase comps. They are bonuses if you get them.

Yeah, Mirage still tends to not rate below $25. BS, imo, but that's their policy. You'd have to play elsewhere for a rating. :(

I remember when we first started this Vegas thing and I thought I was the shit playing green-chip BJ at TI. Lo and behold when talking to a host we learned our VP play is what had us getting the invites and the events and what not.

$20 per hand (pass and 1 come at $10 each and minimum odds), 20 hours over 4 days expected Theo would be 300ish dollars for the whole trip. They gave him $120 off his bill. That sounds about right given all the numbers I see thrown around. This was Sunday through Thursday between 4pm and 12am time frame. YMMV but thats what I saw last week.

Yep, Gulfstream is officially crap now.Gave them another chance today against my better judgement and I got three winning spins out of 150 spins, and two of them just basically gave me a few cents above my bet, and one gave me 20 times my bet. I was out of there in just a few minutes. Gulfstream really isn't fun anymore with all of my losing trips there.

I know it's random, but still 147 losing spins is the pits.

I don't think anyone enjoys losing 147 spins in just a few minutes, Mike.

Seriously, now, what is the purpose of this thread?

I was thinking from the earliest posts that Alexander is one of us having a bit of quirky fun.
