It's windy. Very windy. Non-stop windy. Did I mention it's windy??
The whole PNW is under a massive upper, high pressure ridge. Temperature inversion means that it's 50s (and maybe even low 60s) on the mountains, 40s at sea level with fog. No rain, supposed to stay like this through the end of next week.
It was about 81F the other day but is expected to be down to a low of 39F Saturday night. No snow unless it is potato flakes. Getting the wool stuff bathing suit out.
We had a nice surprise last night. This happens once every 20 years or so here in south central Texas....
Same here in Tampa, gonna be 'bout eightyish today, maybe some showers later on.
You can actually cut and past the above and use it....all the time...just change the date.
It's s'posed to get cold (e.g. Florida Cold) next week...50's & 60's...which means I have to
wear jeans instead of swimming trunks for a few days.
@mescalita How far are you from Dallas? I ask because my wife's sister in the Dallas area was posting pictures of her veggie garden. Rubbing our noses in it.
We're a little over 200 miles from Dallas, just barely south of Austin.
We got a dusting last night. I was able to see the flurries. I did not see it this morning. I work nights and don't get up early on my nights off - got up about 10 AM and all that was left is what is in the shade. It looks like San Antonio had heavier flurries than us and we are in Fredericksburg - farther north and west. At least it did not ice - Texans and ice = we can't drive in that mess and 10,000+ accidents.
But that is why Texans have horses, isn't it?
Smoke. Lots of smoke. Gobs of smoke. And we're north of Ventura. So sad.
5 hours ago I was in Vegas at 61 degrees, now home in Kansas City at 27 degrees - Brrrrr!
It was around 38 this morning in my little Suburb of Orlando. Currently it's 60.
The fires are still 30 or 40 crow-flies miles from us, and it looks like Portland did when St. Helens blew up.
Cold and dry up here in Tahoe... we could use some more moisture.
Going to snow a lot tonight.
And forecast on my flight to vegas day right now says "scattered flurries". With a northern city connection, what could go wrong?
32 F and 1-2 inches expected to start about right now.
32 F and four-five inches of show. Winter is Early in the Netherlands
Here in central Mississippi, it is cold for us (36 degrees). Last week we got five inches of snow and next week they are predicting temps in the 70's. Things change quick these days.
Too cold for a leisurely hike or walk. Too warm for any scenic snow.
