I am booked for 7 nights at Gold Coast with 2 nights comped for mid July, today I received an offer on my companies employee travel discount site that gives me 7 nights at Westgate premium room plus fee for an extra $45.00 total. I like swimming pools and know Gold Coast is nothing more than a standard pool but I understand Westgate is much larger. The nice added bonus is that the same travel website is discounting the Monorail 3-day pass for $19.00. I have not stayed at either property gambled at Gold Coast many times but unfamiliar with Westgate. Opinion on rooms resort etc.

    Thanks
    P

All I can say is the video poker is much better at the Gold Coast.

Yeah same as Don said. I know Westgate has 9/6 JOB near the sportsbook but I was not impressed with their casino. I had the feeling that they were a little too proud of what they had as far as gaming. Plus the property is very stretched out when we used the parking garage and entered the building.

Rooms are very OK. Casino is very OK. Coffee shop is good but a bit spendy. Buffet is, well, uh, there.

They used to be lousy with timeshare dweebs but this April and last April they were nowhere to be seen.

The big advantage to Westgate is that you can take the Monorail to the center Strip anytime you want.

I have stayed at GC many times, and I really like it. I like the pai-gow table games there especially.
    never stayed at Westgate.
