Damn I was going to tell you Wynn has had $25 3-2 blackjack tables at 7/8am the past two mornings if you wanted to meet and play.
    Have a safe flight!

Walking to Resorts World (pro tip: don't walk to Resorts World)

    20210731_140921.jpg

First meal of the day at that Dawg place. Food court w/the stalls looked interesting, but everybody and their mama was there. Anyway, these "dawgs" were fantastic and any place that serves tater tots is alright by me.

Me and Afro Barbie and C decided to get cards and play some slots. The cards are a pain in the ass. The app was much easier. Do that.

I've never seen this version of Cashman (actually can't remember the last time I saw Cashman outside AC). It's a lot of fun and so was the Cash Falls we played after this.

I need Resorts World to get their life together with this rideshare situation. I don't know where this sign is supposed to lead to, but we just went to the corner. Lux Lyft Model S because we were not walking back.

Room service last night. Not a long wait, but they seem confused down there with whoever's job it is to take it back.

We decided to do South Strip since we'd only gotten as far as Cosmo. We decided to walk over to Harrah's/Linq to take the Monorail with some MyVegas BOGO tickets. You have to redeem those at the Monorail Customer Service booth. With an actual person. That booth had a back in 5 mins sign with the distinct feel of 5 mins being sometime last year. So we just scanned a QR code, bought tickets, and used our phones as the tickets. I'll get my LP's back later.

We got off at MGM and headed through to the bridge over to the Castle. We've stayed at MGM enough times to know our way around, so that's never a problem. It just takes forever and everyone and their mama was at MGM. The line to check in was amazing (well past the lion).
We were in the mood for the Pyramid Café. So took the tram from Excalibur. Of course it was the express :rolleyes2: so we got off at Mandalay and walked back through the Shoppes to Luxor.

Back at the Luxor...Scan a QR code for the waitlist. We waited maybe 20 mins.

Breakfast-y things and bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys. Oh and every football (soccer) fan ever was in there. In the whole casino, actually.

After brunch, we decided to stay and play a little in Luxor. I used to hate that casino, but have really liked it in recent years.
    Low rolling, Luxor-style.
These are harder to find, but are among my favorites.

After visiting Luxor (they had live music - dueling pianos - don't recall that being a thing there before) and Mandalay, we visited the Castle and then walked around the Park by NYNY. We were going to see if Sake Rok was open, but they haven't returned yet.

That whole area and over by Tom's Urban was very people-y. There was a cover band singing on the stage there (they were better than the dueling pianos and had everyone's favorite 80s stripper anthem "Pour Some Sugar On Me"). Further down, absolute silence as a couple hundred or so people watched soccer on an outdoor screen.

We eventually made our way back to MGM and the Monorail and headed to Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips. Our theory was it had to be as good as people said or else he'd jump out of the back yelling about "You DONKEY!" if staff got it wrong.
We each got classic fish & chips orders
    20210801_195506.jpg

Then hit up Walgreens where this was something I don't recall seeing. I'm easily entertained.

Yesterday was our departure day. Why do these trips go so FAST?
We had a 10:00 a.m. flight and our Kaptyn Tesla arrived before 8:00 a.m. to pick us up. We were almost ready, but C had to make a stop at the desk to make sure a $50 "we're sorry" credit had been applied to the bill. We'd done pool time at the Venezia Garden Pool and the cocktail waitress came go to side once and proceeded to never come back and give all the service to the other side of the pool. C complained in the Venetian's DM's on Twitter and they called her and had a conversation.

I had to stop and appreciate the lobby fully.

We had a very talkative driver who told us more about the MSG Sphere and pointed out Shaq's chicken place.
    20210802_075853.jpg

We got to the airport quickly and got through security quickly in the line with the new scanner where you leave all your stuff in your bag. Breakfast was super fancy - burrito/burrito bowl at Baja Fresh. Our flight boarded on time and we were off back home.

It was so good to be back in Vegas. It really is a favorite. I was even happy to see the crowds since it means revenue for the businesses. I feel like they're getting better with service and only noticed staffing issues one or two times in various places. And of course the mask mandate changed mid-trip, but it really wasn't a big deal. If it's one thing this last year taught me, it's adapt and go and enjoy the moment. We took Lyft several times and had no issues, so for us it was normal.
Thanks for following along! I always like reading everyone's TRs and I'm always happy to share my own.
