    My Trip Report

So, I decided to leave DC over the long Presidents' Day weekend and hit up Horseshoe Baltimore. I am CET Diamond Plus, and I like to use Horseshoe as a quasi-local casino to have 1,000 TC days and pick up the equivalent bonus, plus a little FP/F&B credit that they throw my way.

I Uber'd from Penn Station to a Marriott near Camden Yards (this will come into play later). Checked in, dumped my bag into the room, and Uber'd to Horseshoe. The gambling was pretty up and down at first, and then I caught a break on a $10 wager:

Now that I had a little bankroll, I decided to play my preferred VP, 10 hand Ultimate X Double Double Bonus. In this instance, because Horseshoe doesn't have much Ultimate X and also some machines are turned off for social distancing, I could only get this on a 10 cent denom instead of $.25. The machine did, however, deal me an utterly infuriating pity straight:

Stuff like that is, just...come on Ultimate X. More like Ultimate Dick, if you ask me.

Anyhow, I was still up a bit and looking to build towards my 1,000 TC. Sat down at a Panda Magic and hit a beefy big boi:

When the slot attendants came over, I joked with them that I was going to try and win another one and send them right back to the cage. They laughed and said, hey we hope it happens! Then they unlocked the machine, I changed denom (per MGSlots 21 guidance, see YouTube if you don't know who I mean), and got this while they were gone:

Sure enough, the same two attendants came back laughing and like, "You called it!" They handed me both hand pays and both W-2Gs, and I tipped them and they walked away congratulating me.

Swiped my card into another machine and had 862 TCs. Played 88 Fortunes, but to no end and walked away just over 1,000 TCs.

Walked to a branch of my bank and deposited like $4,700 into my account and hung out with a few hundred in walk around money.

Enjoyed some bourbon and had a bite to eat, got myself back to the Marriott just after midnight.

Got ready for bed and passed out. At 4:30 am, there were incredibly loud sirens in the hallway and SCREAMING, like, "GET OUT OF THIS BUILDING RIGHT NOW! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!" I threw my crap in my bag, never having unpacked, got my clothes on from the night before, and walked out of the hotel. There were several fire engines outside:

Seems there was an actual, genuine fire. I decided to Uber back to Penn Station and take the next train back to DC. I live near Union Station in Washington and I just walked home. It was maybe 6 am. I called Priceline, through whom I had made the reservation. They called the Marriott, who agreed to refund half of my costs (was supposed to be a two night stay). I guess I'd argue that the full amount should be refunded, since there was no way for them to honor the full first night (it's not like check out would normally be at 4:30 am), but what the hey. I just let it go, only left about 75 bucks on the table as accommodations in that town are cheap right now.

So now I'm back and posting about the overall situation. Thanks for reading, and I hope everyone had a good weekend!

Great luck on the hand pays! I've been through evacuations from hotels due to fire alarms and the trucks all coming in, etc. but I've never actually been in a hotel with an actual fire. Getting out is the most important thing, your $75 is piddly in comparison. Congrats on a successful day trip.
