I have some lightweight scarves (pashimas) that are good heat insulators if needed and save me the trouble of wandering around the casino floors carrying a jacket.

Just bring a sweatshirt that you don't mind losing if you get drunk and forget it at a table

When I was there before thanksgiving, it was cold outside but the casinos had the heat cranked up so much people were sweating inside so - good luck.

Let's try this Thanksgiving thing again

In fifty years of going to Las Vegas I have never brought more than a windbreaker. Sometimes in the winter I’ll pack a cotton sweater, but that’s more a wardrobe choice than a desire to be warmer.

if the weather is really bad we either don’t go out or we dash from cab or limo to the door, but that rule applies winter or summer.

We could probably spend a week at Wynn without leaving the property and be happy-we don’t, but staying in during crappy weather is not an imposition.

The weather in Las Vegas during the winter tends to be highly variable just like Texas, so we feel at home. If it’s cold and icky one day it’s likely to be sunny and in the sixties a day or two later. Sustained cold or wet is unlikely.

Summer or winter, Mrs. Johnny always packs a sweater for indoors-she always thinks it’s too cold, especially in the summer.
