I thought it would be fun, Netflix is showing it right now. Made my withdrawal symptoms 15x worse!
You think THAT'S bad? I watched a couple videos on YouTube shot driving down the Strip. It's enough to make you cry! Just search "Vegas Strip."
Gee, I never would have thought my 3,800th post would be like this!
I feel your pain!
I shouldn't have looked!
It's been a while since I inquired, but aren't some GA meetings held in hotel/casinos right before or after AA meetings?
You want some real bad withdrawals? Watch a video like this...
I watched it on my VR headset (one of the best $30 purchases I ever made) and it felt surreal being able to "walk" around Vegas and turn my head to check things out, even hearing the background noise and such.
Even without a VR headset, you can get your phone to respond to tilting the device around to get a 360-like experience.
It was on one of the ITV channels the other week, a mate mine message me to tell me my favourite place was on TV. I replied I know I'm already watching it.
I've been making my way through these (see the list in the link'd thread)...I know exactly how you feel...in addition I watched ACTION on Showtime...AND to top it off I am binging on old episodes of the Bettor Life podcast, and still listening to current ones of theirs plus You Can Bet on That, Five Hundy and several others...
I hear ya, watched it a few days ago. Kind of like seeing a long lost friend at the airport and knowing you'll only get to spend a couple of minutes together.
However, for me the far bigger mistake was watching Hangover Part II. Ugh. However, they redeemed themselves, somewhat, with Part III.
The biggest problem I had with II was that they turned Leslie Chow from a mean, weird, quasi-mobster into a cartoon. Other than that, it wasn't as bad as Oceans 12 in relation to 11.
Biggest problem with II was lack of Vegas....
OMG it was!!!!! I watched it last weekend, it actually made me feel bad because I saw all the stuff I could be at, also just like the gambling and stuff. BIG mistake, I even made a Netflix night with wine and popcorn with my Wolfpack which consists of my husband, a kid home from law school to quarantine with us, who is a Zoom expert, the cat she brought home (called and told us before she got on the plane it was coming), and my 14 year old dog.
Watching the Hangover was actually little bit of a downer. All I saw is the places I used to go and wished they were still open.
However, that is still the greatest movie ever! I did see so much I didn't even notice the first few times I saw it.
They need to make another Vegas-related classic movie like that..and with a new plot, involving Vegas...and just so many choice moments.
I have an Oculus headset, I’m going to have to try it, I’ve only been using it for roller coaster videos, some simple gaming and other things.
Watching hangover right now, finally finished watching all of ray Donovan
I’m in the minority as I loved Hangover 2, also 3 was great. The first one of course was the best, I’d even argue one of the best comedy’s ever.
I turned on Netflix a few days ago and saw it was the #9 most watched thing on Netflix in the US that day. And I thought, awww, I guess there are more degenerates missing Vegas like I do than I thought!
