Looks like its limited to the majority of international passenger airlines in Terminal 3.

Is this the stuff that is supposed to help scan liquids? Thus potentially leading to getting rid of the 3 ounce rule?

I didn't see anything in the article about liquids... what's wrong with the 3 oz. rule?

    Nothing is "wrong with it"
I know some bigger airports and even some airports overseas are testing these new 3D carry on scanner things that are better at looking at liquids and therefor COULD let bigger bottles of toiletries ( and hopefully booze) through TSA and also triggers less false alarms leading to less people being patted down.

It is a pain in the a$$. And everything I have read, there really is not a threat. And ways to get around it if some bad guy wanted to.

Honestly, I just want to be able to put a full sized bottle of scotch in my carryon as I usually don't check a bag.

I get scanned and searched every time because I have a metal hip. I'm sure nothing will change for me.

...which was me Thursday morning...I did it to shorten lineup at precheck, which was about 15 people...guess people are paying to get nexus/clear.
They keep data for 24 hours...big deal...if you got nothing to hide, you got nothing to worry about.

My local airport has had these body scanners for quite a while now. There was an article some weeks ago that UK airports were to get 3D X Ray machines by 2022 at the latest, will mean not having to take out electricals and liquids out of your bags.
