Video Poker VP advice needed

We are off to the promised land in just over a weeks time. In the past I have mainly stuck to slots, but want to give VP some time during this trip. I figure that I can learn one basic strategy properly so based on the fact that we are stopping at the Wynn and I will be playing at $.50 & $1 level. Which game would you recommend based on the machines available? Thanks

According to vpfree2 the only game at Wynn for under $1 is Bonus Poker with a 7/5 pay table.

If you play $1 you can play Bonus Poker with an 8/5 pay table.

They have a handful of games at $1 that all return > 99% with perfect strategy. Bonus Poker, Double Bonus, Triple Double Bonus among others.

Also check wizardofodds.com to look at the strategy and Don't forget Tringlomane's Vp in the stickie section. He breaks it down nice and easy, especially the variance of the different games. For what it's worth, I would probably start with Bonus Poker as the first game to learn.

There are plenty of other video poker games under $1 at the Wynn but the best paytable is 7/5 BP. VPfree2 only lists the best games.

Yeah, but the only game listed there where you can play just one line of $1 and max bet is spin poker, which is sort of annoying, but can be done via the touch screen like seen here.

Like others have said, learn bonus poker strategy. This also works well for Jacks or Better.
