Nah. I'm actually waiting for someone I know from this board to make an appearance on the Travel Channel. Other than Ken2V that is.

sorry, i thought the link was working. It's pdf file. I don't know of another way to upload the doc, it's too large to be an attachment.

went to google's site to see what was up and found the following:

"Publishing a PDF so that anyone can view has not yet been implemented"

    Fantastic pics

Thanks for that link DonD. Some great pics of old Vegas......many of which I have never seen before. Especially liked those street views of the north strip.....circa 50s and 60s. Some super nice aerial shots too.

Woke up to Totally 80's on VH1 this fine morning. Check this Vegas video featuring U2 strolling down Fremont in the mid eighties. "Still Haven't found What I'm Looking For".

Guys, forget the Joshua Tree, theres a cool million cash inside Binion's.

Kinda crazy seeing Fremont without the canopy.

I just went through all the pages. My first trip to Vegas was when I was either in 85/86 or 87, I cant remember, either way, I was not even 10 years old. Alot of these sparked memories, I see these pics and realize how much the town has changed. Sure, we can say from year to year how it has changed, but to see pics like these makes it more of a reality. I wish, as a child, I would have valued the photos that I had taken, the home movies I made and all that stuff, but I have none any longer. I dont even think I have any photos from my 2002 trip left from when I was married, we only had a few because we lost one camera and that was the advent of digital and we only had one memory card that filled up really fast. I do have lots of photos from 2005 on my other harddrive, I hope to never lose them.

This is about as vintage as I can get....I did not start going to Vegas until 2005 (which I regret not ever going earlier). I'm hooked now...
