First time staying at Paris next trip, wife wants a room so she can watch Bellagio fountains. Which room or tower do I ask for?

Keep in mind that only 25% of the rooms face the strip and fountains. See map/picture

When we stay, we usually call the resort and specifically request an upper level room facing the strip. No secret codewords or vocabulary needed. I seem to recall that there is a price differential (not make-or-break) for the proverbial "room with a view". ;)

Ask for a strip view and be specific about being able to see the Bellagio fountains. I've taken to letting them know I don't need a strip view and it helps me get a better room 2 out of 3 times.

Agreed. Ask for a "fountain view" room.

For reference, here is the view from my room in Sept/Oct 17, Room #2396.
