Video Poker at the bar is one of my favorite Vegas pastimes, and my other favorite pastime is drinking at a bar with good food, especially happy hour specials. Anybody know of Vegas Video Poker bars on the strip or downtown that also serve good food? I haven't noticed a menu or anybody eating at any of the bars with Video Poker that I've been to.

I recall one trip report where somebody got some food at a bar playing Video Poker, but I don't remember which bar. And I've seen pics in Royal Flusher's trip reports of pizza at the bar Chicago Brewing in the Four Queens, but that's it.

Bonus points if the pay tables are decent! But mostly I'm looking for the trifecta of Video Poker, good drinks, and some good food.

The Harrah's bartenders had no problem with us bringing food from the Fulton Street Food Hall and eating at the bar while we played and drank. I know it's not the same as ordering AND eating at the bar, but it's all I've got!

Don't know how to play VP and eat at the same time.
I need two hands together to play in order to do 1000 hands per hour.

Oh man, you should give it a try. As someone mentioned above, Chicago Brewing Co. at Four Queens serves food while you play VP. A nice fresh side salad and pizza. That's some good stuff.

    Parlour Bar at El Cortez
$5 appetizers during happy hour (4pm-6pm and 11pm-1am)
If you're with people who aren't playing VP, their happy hour also features half off draft beers and 2-for-1 cocktails.

Hopefully the weather will be nice.

Crown and Anchor on Tropicana. Good English Pub food (great fish and chips, shepard's pie) and if you run $20 through the video poker machine your lunch is comped. A lot of good beers on tap.

Another nod to Chicago Brewery, especially if you go at Happy Hour time when their appetizers are half price. I always get the Filet Mignon Sliders and a comped beer for under $6. VP is full pay with quad progressives on quarters. Food tastes even better with AWAK!

Another vote here for the Chicago Brewing Company at Four Queens. The sliders are fantastic!

I suppose maybe the booze kills some of the nastiness...?

The El Cortez will give you a TV-tray type thing when you're at a machine out in the casino, and a neat little tray that fits right into the bar top as well. I've never done it, but seen it many times. (Probably locals who eat most of their meals there, lol) Here's a verbatim from their website:

"You can’t win if you’re not playing. But you need to eat, too. At El Cortez, you’ll no longer have to decide between dinner and winning. With Siegel’s Gameside, you can enjoy the great food El Cortez has to offer without leaving your game. We’ll bring the finest food and beverages to you Siegel’s gameside, so you can play uninterrupted. That way, you can keep your hot streak, but still enjoy a hot meal.

    Siegel’s Gameside is available from 7:30am – 10:30pm."

They are still doing this??
I remember seeing this a few years ago but I thought for sure it was just a passing fad.

I will also endorse 4Q's Chicago Brewery bar tops and pizza!!

Maybe not this year. Looking forward to 2021!

I often bring a hot dog to bars at Orleans, Gold Coast, and Suncoast, get a free beer, and play a little VP. No one’s ever batted an eye.

One hand for eating, one hand for VP!

I also always carry sanitizer and wash my hands a LOT in Vegas.

This is amazing and frightening at the same time.

As mentioned before, El Cortez and Chicago Brewing have special trays that accommodate food plus VP, though the half-price happy hour at Chicago is gone. I've also eaten wings while playing at Hooters. And for the readers that don't get the need for this it is to continue getting comped drinks while dining. Otherwise a pitcher of bud light in Hooters runs about seventeen dollars. As to the yuck factor, I've been known to play a few hands with my knuckles while eating some wings. And if doing two things you like at the same time doesn't say Vegas, why not make it three?
