I used to laugh at the ED commercials on tv. Uh....not so funny anymore.
I take two blood pressure pills, and I am told that has an effect, and also I am older.
Viagra did not work for me. It does not work on about a third of men. My doctor
switched me to Cialis and that seems to help sustain me, but my insurance only
    covers so much of it.

I saw Tom Jones in concert back in 2011, I think he was about 70 years then.
He sang a little ditty about grandpa taking a blue pill and then chasing grandma
all over the place. It was pretty funny. When he finished singing it, he chuckled and
said " we've all been there!"

I wish there was less stigma around this medication.

I am in my late 20s and although my partner is a little older than me he is only mid 40s. He suffered a severe heart attack 12 weeks ago, he was very fit an healthy apart enjoying from too many cigarettes (not any more!). After the heart attack the mental and physical impact effected him and we have looked at taking Viagra or some form of tablet to help.

I wish there wasn't such a social stigma for men, and their partners, that use Viagra. I mean good for you if you don't need it, but I hope everyone who reads this is open minded as to why someone might be using it... some times there is more to the story than people know :)

I'm only in my 30s, but have had MS for 10 years, and use it myself. Other than sometimes have a bit of a hot flush the next day, I get no side effects, and it's superb stuff.

My Dr is a female, but her husband works out of the same surgery, and he sorted my presription for me. I wasn't worried about asking, but I can see why some guys are a bit apprehensive.

All the best to your husband. I hope he is on the mend, and makes a full recovery :)

    Another month in paradise...

I'm not sure how it is there in the UK or if maybe as young as you are that you weren't around to experience how it used to be, but from my perspective, the stigma on ED meds is nothing compared to way it was in the early days. Early on you'd never hear people just off handedly mention taking it and it sure as hell wouldn't have been used recreationally by people who don't need it (the latter of which I'm not sure is a good thing). Even when you think about how it's portrayed in humor and TV/movies it's almost never in a negative way anymore.

I can imagine it used to be much worse. I think its a mixed bag here in Wales. There's a lot of people we both know who would think negatively of it. I even have female friends telling me I should finish with my partner, but it just shows how shallow people can be. I'm glad to hear that maybe its not as much of an issue as I thought, its all new to me I suppose :)

There can be vision side effects. When I took Levitra colors were changed with everything having an orange cast and halos around bright lights. Cialis is slightly different and seldom has this effect. I've also experienced the headaches and congestion.

It actually LOWERS blood pressure as it dilates your blood vessels so more blood rushes in. That's why you can't take it at the same time as 'nitroglycerin' heart medicine

Cialis has a much longer half life so many hours later you still have some working; thus "the weekend pilll" nickname.

I started needing/using it after I had to start taking bets-blockers for high blood pressure. All brands work.

If I could find a lover in her 20's, I would give it a go.

I love that this thread has 72 replies to this point, yet when someone asks a question about bottle-service at a club or cabanas at a pool... generally crickets!!! Definitely exposes the demographics of our group, of which sadly I'm smack in the middle of...
