I won't speak for anyone else's experience, but flying from the east coast, I try to get an early flight and usually am there by 9/10am. To me it just feels like I get an extra day vs. leaving here in the afternoon and getting to Vegas around dinner time. That being said, on at least 12 different trips, only once did I have an issue with my room not being available. That was at Caesars on a September Sunday a few years back. I just left bags with the bell man and walked around the casino and gambled (of course), had some food, and drank (of course). I will say the wait was kind of obnoxious. It was probably well after 2pm before we got into the room. Most of my other experiences were at mLife properties (and once at Wynn) and I never had to wait - and sometimes we were landing at 8:30am....in the room before 9:30 and down at the MGM pool by 10 for the Lazy River opening!

I think it all depends on your room type, and what day you're trying to do this. Sundays are probably the worst due to all the folks needing to wake their drunk asses up and get checked out before they can clean the rooms.

I fly out of Pittsburgh and do the same thing. I try to get the earliest flight I can and we've landed in Vegas as early as 8:00 Vegas time. It's rare I can check into the room that early, but I go to the desk anyway and 100% of the time they take my number and text me when the room is ready which has always been before Noon.

I leave the bags at the Bell station and walk the Strip, eat, drink, etc... and it doesn't bother me at all. I also feel like it's an extra day in Vegas vs getting in at 2:00, waiting in a long line to check in and finally getting settled in the room at 4:00 or so.

Give me the earliest flight out I can get and the red-eye back.

For the times the room is not ready I check them. Usually takes less than 30 minutes after you call them to bring your bags up. Or you can pick them up yourself if you want. For the times the room is ready and they want to charge and early check in fee... I just give them a sad disappointed look and they always forgive that fee.

I have had some late check ins as well. I think maybe 4pm at the latest one time. Most times in the room by about 2 or so.
