Venetian posted a picture of a renovated suite on Instagram today. Can't say I'm in love with the color scheme, but I do appreciate newness. Here's an article about the renovation with the same picture posted on social media. https://www.streetinsider.com/PRNewswire/The+Venetian+Resort+Las+Vegas+Unveils+the+Largest+and+Most+Expensive+Hotel+Renovation+in+History+Timed+to+Its+25th+Anniversary/23155667.html
Thanks for the article. I like the redo, lighter and brighter. Venetian rooms always seemed dark and heavy. Big improvement.
Definitely needed a refresh but I was expecting a different direction in design. Going to miss the old world elegance and that work desk. My favorite resort for WFV. I’m wondering if Venezia and Palazzo will have the same.
I love Venetian and Palazzo rooms, the old rooms!! But that said I’ll need to see the new design in person to make a final judgement. They’re my favorite standard rooms on the strip, Wynn is close but for rooms it’s Venetian all the way..
Venetian turns 25 on Saturday. Still remember them having a preview center where they had a mockup of the rooms. The casino at one point had a weird smell and was too warehouses for my liking, although the current layout isn't any great shakes either IMO
Booked to be there end of July... is there a chance our hotel will cancel our reservation if they are doing changes to the rooms?
You should be fine. The article states that the new rooms will become available in September. They will probably have construction around your dates but usually they close off the floors around the ones being worked on. And who knows, they may even start with Venezia first being it’s the smaller Venetian tower.
Yeah, I can't say I love the red. I like the room to be calming given the sensory overload in the rest of Vegas. I suspect this is gonna be a love-or-hate for most, and I hope when the time comes that the Palazzo gets a different color scheme.
Are they giving these rooms out yet? I will be there for Labor Day weekend, curious if they will be ready by then. I lean towards Palazzo but booked Venetian hoping to get a renovated room.
Not sure when the V will have renovated rooms available. I was just there last week on the 5th but stayed at Palazzo to avoid any potential construction issues at the V, which by the way there were none except for the High Limit which was partially closed due to renovations.
What is the update on how these renovations are going? Any word on if these rooms are being assigned yet? I imagine many of them have to be ready since they were aiming for completion by September. I will be there for Labor Day weekend and am wondering if I have a chance at getting assigned a renovated room.
I read the new rooms would be available starting in September, not that they expected the renovation to be complete by then. I haven’t seen anyone sharing them online, apart from the initial round of press photos, which suggests they’re not available yet. Maybe you’ll be one of the first.
I’ve been hunting trip advisor and YouTube regularly to see if someone happened to get one yet but nothing. Originally Venetian said September, but now I’ve seen them commenting on some responses to their IG posts saying “this fall”. I bet we won’t see them till October.
I will ask the desk if there are any available or when they will be available when I check-in next week. I was at Palazzo last month, but when I went over to Venetian side, it was as busy as usual. A delay wouldn't surprise me. Either way, should be a nice visit, but would be nice to see the new room in person.
My question is whether they started in the Venezia tower or in the main tower first. The Venezia’s are the most out of date and smaller footprint to complete without taking too many out of service at one time during their peek season. I know Palazzo is last as they have been commenting saying those rooms we saw are only at Venetian since Palazzo was renovated in 2018.
