i have seen a few reviews stating that there is a strong sewage smell in the hallways to the rooms in the Venetian. Has anyone else experienced this and if so how bad is it. I have been back and forth between there and palazzo and this could make me change over to the Palazzo.

Maybe the canals are just runoff from the sewer system?

Can confirm, stayed at Venetian for 2 days before Christmas and the hallway leading to our room definitely smelled like sewage.

Not at the Venetian, but I once smelled a sewage odor at the Orleans. The odor was coming out of our room's tub and from a drain at the pool.

I have never smelled it in the Venetian but always smell it while walking past it on LVB.

The only place I noticed sewage was on the corner of Monte Carlo/Park MGM waiting to cross the street right by the now defunct Diablo's Cantina. The worst sewage smell I have ever experienced! I have caught a wiff of it right across the strip on the same intersection but it is always strongest right outside what was once Diablo's. November of 2017 was the worst I had ever experienced it. It was detectable but not quite as bad in May 2018 as it was in November 2017.

The front area of the MC casino, nearest to where Diablo’s was, had constantly smelled like freshly deposited turds going back at least 10 years. I haven’t noticed it since they started renovations but I also haven’t spent a lot of time there.

I have also smelled it walking by on multiple trips. Right near that outdoor restaurant.
