I saw today that the Venetian pool deck is closed from now until mid spring/summer 2019 for construction. That sucks! The Palazzo pools are still open. How much of a hassle is it to go from the Venetian to the Palazzo pool deck? Am I going to be wandering through miles of casino in my swimwear and floaties?

From the sounds of the reviews (yeah, I know) they didn't tell anyone they were refurbishing the pools ahead of time and it's a complete mess.

I just stayed at the Venetian Sun-Tues (first time player, I normally mlife) and when I booked my room a couple months ago they gave no notice the pool was going to be closed. They asked if i wanted to stay at the Venetian or the Palazzo. If I would have known I would have def chosen the Palazzo.

To answer your question it's a decent walk depending on where your room is located in relation to the elevator. You walk through the Canyon Ranch Spa on the 10th floor of the Venetian Elevators. It was confusing at first. It seems like everything is far in Vegas :) so using that thought process it wasn't too bad. If you plan on going back to your room a lot during the day it will not be convenient.

The players club getting a software update for the last two days of my stay was way worse than the pool closure! The planned software upgrade was also not communicated so I got to pay for all of my room charges and got no free play! Apparently they think their customers don't need to know in advance. I'm not sure if this is how they normally operate or not, but it seems like a little communication in advance would lead to less headaches on the back end.
