Back in the room. Lost on everything after Quick Hits. Quit with $61 more in my pocket than I started with.

Girls are pretty wired and loud in their room. I'm dragging. I feel absolutely zonked from today. Hopefully, I'll get a decent night's rest. Dinner pictures tomorrow.

    Goodnight....:snore::snore::snore:

Cobra as in, 'Crime is a disease. Meet the cure'?

    What a cinematic masterpiece.

I only remember the montage song in it, though. I think Marion Cobretti was stocking up on ammunition and the bad guys were wearing leather jackets and smacking ax blades together.

Pretty sunrise this morning. This was a tad after 6am. Crawled back in bed for another hour of shut eye. Still super beat feeling, but Vegas awaits.

Going to hop in the shower and then go play some slots until I hear rumbles from J's room that the girls are up.

Yes, yes I would. In fact, about 3 years ago for Halloween, I went to a party dressed as the guy who foolishly parked in Cobra's spot. White sleeveless tee with the front ripped down and dangling, overshirt, fingerless gloves. I even grew my hair out and slicked it back and grew the facial hair. I planned it months in advance.

Try explaining who you're supposed to be to a room full of people unfamiliar with the movie.....

I always love your appreciation of the finer cinematic presentations that came out of the 70s and 80s @FormallyTD!

Well that's just freaking awesome! I'm glad you clarified, because I was going to ask if people recognized who you were. :D

Not one. This conversation happened about 146 times...

Party guest : "Who are you dressed as?"
Me : "Are you familiar with the 1986 Sylvester Stallone vehicle 'Cobra'?"
    PG : "Huh?"
    Me : "Never mind....."

Basically have given back my winnings from last night. I moved on to Luxor. Only decent hit has been this small bonus on The Hobbit.

    20210720_092224.jpg

Waiting on a Bloody Mary, then going to go find something else to play. Based on our trip the other week, I think the closest Buffalo Diamond is at Aria. I don't think I've seen one at Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur, NYNY or MGM Grand. Please correct me if I'm wrong. @ffejry has really gotten me hooked on those machines. I'm currently having withdrawal, but I'm not up for heading mid-strip right now.

Here's our dinner last night at Hussong's Cantina. We all had a great time, and the food was good.

N got a side of Rice and Beans and mixed them together.

    20210719_203154.jpg
J got a Chicken Enchilada minus some of the toppings.

Total for all of us with tax and tip was $269.22. I paid as J covered a lot of expenses when she watched our girls while V and I came to Vegas.

Drink and appetizer pictures were in an earlier post, so I didn't show those again.

Slowly going into the red. Just can't hit much this morning.

Came over to the Castle to slum and pick up some COVID for free.

    20210720_104042.jpg

I don't believe any of the offspring are up yet. V is messing around on his radios. He texted that his 20 year old portable antenna died.

Boy the tides turn fast in Vegas. When V and I were here, the sign said masks not required for fully vaccinated guests.

I'm telling you, I will be taking home the Delta Variant as a souvenir.

You should be able to find them at Mandalay (it's huge, you might've just missed it), MGM... Just about anywhere! They're one of the most popular machines.

V and I lost a quick $30 at VP, but we did enjoy a Bloody Mary (V) and White Russian (E). Sucked them down too fast to take pics.

Waiting on a table for 8 at Pyramid Cafe at Luxor. Girls are finally up, but still haven't seen them. LOL. I did the virtual wait list.

Idle curiosity, are they actually "enforcing" this? When I was out there in December and March, there were a few times I was playing, pulled the mask down to take a sip (read : large pull) from my beer and forgot to replace it immediately. There was usually a casino employee at my side to remind me rather quickly. Are we back to that, or is this recommendation just that?

    Mrs. Worm,

I have a question. I'm heading to Vegas in a few weeks and I'm staying at Park MGM. Haven't stayed there since it was the Monte Carlo (RIP). I'm looking at daybeds and shit online because I like to drink buckets of beer and get unplugged from the matrix (https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/index.php?threads/slow-rolling-our-first-trip-since-covid-6-13-6-17-caesars.184914/ check post 45) and I'm trying to figure out just exactly what the fuck is the difference between a Pod Daybed and a regular daybed? I recall you got a cabana the last trip and just looking for your excellent insight on this. Hope that's ok

Also, if i get there early enough can I snag a chair with an umbrella instead? Because shade is the ultimate goal for this guy and if I don't have to pay a fuckton of money that's cool too.

No enforcement that I've seen, but most employees I've seen are masked. It also seems like more of the general crowd is masked as compared to two weeks ago.

Thanks! I don't really mind wearing it so much, but there were a few times I would pull it down, take a swig and then have to place a bet really quickly and just left it down (inadvertently or otherwise) for a few seconds, intending to drink again, and was quickly admonished. I understood and was apologetic, but it was a minor nuisance from time to time. If that isn't happening, I don't really mind wearing it when I'm waiting for a cocktail or walking around.

How well did the pork skins go with the guacamole? A friend of mine got me hooked on pork skins with pimento cheese. Good luck on the Buffalo Diamond.

At this point, it's definitely a recommendation. All of the teens have been choosing to wear theirs. Us adults have not, and plenty of other people aren't either.

Not that I don't feel like the virus isn't swirling around me, but at this point I figure it's like trying to put the horse back in the barn for me and V to start masking.

Crossing my fingers the Pfizer vaccine holds up for us.
