Room looks great. I'll be there Sunday and hope to meet you at Paris Diamond lounge, 5pm. My strategy for my Jubilee room. Request high floor, odd number, near elevator. Is there any noise from the Paris night club?
Good luck in the poker tournaments. I love the poker room, but this is a trip with wife, so I must behave.

And thats is good strategy for a room with a nice view(i dont care so much about theview anymore so much) and less noise
And yeah chateau nightclub can be loud sometimes( last year when i was sick a couple of days that sucked but now i dont plan of being sick and have also good earplugs just in case)

My first day in paradise went smoothly
After i drank alot of water, dr pepper light and tea and had a nice visit to the spa(sauna/yacuzzi/steamroom) my headache was almost over and after i walked in the nice sun to casino royale i smashed 2 flies in one blow( dutch saying) as i had a nice walk and i saved 3$ on atm fees
Furthermore i rested in my room and saw a nice game of soccer between german giants bayern munich and dortmund( suprisingly dortmund won 3-2 in munich) . I also went to my host and gave him a little present.
I got my 2 free showtickets which one of them i would see this evening.
Before the show i played a little bit of the texas hold m table game i loved so much, after a bad start and on my last few dollars i managed to make a turnaround and walked away with a nice little profit

As i dont like the chickenwings i had myself a reasonable healthy dinner( with green tea with lemon and honey and a perrier)



I couldnt found a texas hold m game at caesars(they replaced them with the terrible game flush as they can make more money on this one) but i passed by some fellow dutchies...this was one of them


( voted as worlds nr1 dj beating his fellow dutchies dj tiesto, armin van buuren->hakkasan and afrojack( saw him couple of years ago at surrender)

I played a bit texas hold m there and had a very small profit(5$)
I was going to see this show



These are 5 English blokes who sing classic rock songs from Aerosmith/acdc/GNR/queen/Bon Jovi/Led Zeppelin etc.
I truly loved this show, they rocked and have great voices, also the super sexy dancing ladies were great and the band as well.
90 minutes of pure entertainment!
I didnt know if i could make pictures or videos so i didnt and just enjoyed the show.

Overall i had a nice relaxing day with a nice win and a great show
Tomorrow will be another day in paradise( as ballys in the part paradise of las vegas)

Ah OK. I've played both, but I'm a big UTH fan. I like the ability to bet when I want to (4X - 2X - 1X).

 

Nope... sure wish I was! I took a new consulting gig that takes me all over the west. Most of the time in Vegas now is just to switch planes.

 

Day 2 in Paradise
After trying to get in some free invitational bj tournaments which my host couldnt get me in i went to
....

After a 30 min workout on crosstrainer(1,6 miles burnt 500kcal) i used the spa( hot tub cold tub sauna steamroom) i felt great!
A green tea with honey and an orange was followed by a less healthier snack

I know the picture doesnt look that great but dang that hotdog tasted great

Back in my room i saw this card in my window

I found this weird as the windows at ballys( and i think most windows at vegashotels) you cant open

Anyways as it was nice weather it was pooltime



Time to get dinner at this place


I had a nice free myvegas cravings dinner

   After a nice dinner it was time to go to this place
   
   
   
   Went to the fusionbar where the Vegas Fanatics/ Vegas Message Board meeting organised by hoofy would be but nobody there. Checked online and saw that it was moved to hl slots( thnx irishdave)
   Had a nice couple of drinks ( my first alcohol since i arrived two days ago)and talks with some members of vf and vmb and got hoofy a lil dutch treat
   
   
   After the meet i had some more drinks and played a lil bit at the linque( my game the texas holdm bonus game) although i had a good time with the people on the table i lost and i am now even for the trip(see dave no drinking and gambling!!!)
   Time to call it a nite and have a snack and a nice drink
   
   And ofcourse updating my TR

Day 3 in Paradise

I decided to play my first pokertournament at bally's



I played pretty well and reached the final table.Unfortunately i just finished 5th( only first 3 got payd) so 2,5 hours of playing for nothing

After a short trip to the spa i decided it was time for some food and walked to this fine place


I had the fried green tomatoes which were awesome


After a small loosing session at the linque it was time for a group meeting




The meeting was well organised and alot of fun.
Alot of VMB members were there too(see it as a double nationality thing, i just recently joined vf as well as i am already 6 years or so vmb member..2 great boards with alot of nice vegascrazy people)
The view outside was also great

After the meeting i went gambling and it didnt go that well,so i had to get the rest of my bankroll out of the atm.
I went to the linque to redeem myself a bit( last 2 times i lost there) as three times is a charm.
I manage to win and therefore cut my losses in half.
It was crazy as at one time at 4 am a highroller got at my table and he was max betting(200$ on ante and 50$ on bonus) i think he was a bit drunk too and left an houre later even with a nice profit.
At 7 am i had enough and cashed in and went back to my hotel.

 

An uneventful day in Paradise
Sorry but it was a bit uneventful day today after a couple of hours sleep ( went in at a lil bit after 7 am) i woke up with a splitting headache (from my neck) and had to cancel the meeting i wanted to go to...tried the spa( yacuzzi/cold tub) to get rid of it but only helped a lil bit so i got me some medicine


After 6 pills, some water and a couple of hours relaxing i felt good enough to go to this show

It was a nice little show and you can compare it with legends going soul (especially Tina Turner was pretty good) i enjoyed it. The show lasted 70 minutes, i gave it 7 out of 10.
( no pics or recordings of show were allowed so i am sorry i cant show you anything further)
After the show i met patti and her hubby at harrahs and brought them some luck


I played a lil bit at ballys and broke even after being up for a little while.
Calling it an early night as i wanna be fresh and headachefree in the morning.
