    My Trip Report

Hello everyone! Long time lurker here but I finally summoned some courage to start a trip report. My report will consist of mainly food and gambling. I am primarily a table game player, primarily HL Baccarat. I do like to stick in a Benjamin franklin in slot machines occasionally to test my luck. I am hoping for my first hand pay this trip.

I will be travelling with my buddy who is not a gambler. We are flying out tomorrow. Our itinerary:

    July 23-26
3 comp Nights at Aria. $50 RC and $75 FP. We are staying in a stay well room with two queen beds. Does anyone have recommendations for room upgrades, as I am willing to pay?

    July 26-28
Originally booked at the Palazoo, but rsvn moved over to Venetian bevause of the weekday closure. 2 Comp nights, $800 Free Bet Chips and $250 Dining Credit

    July 28-30
I am a RFB player here. Comp 2 nights in the Encore Parlor Suite in the Tower Suites plus food all comped by my host. We got set up with a cabana here too and a limo ride back to airport on departure day. I have got reservations set up at Sinatra, Wing Lei and Tableau.

We plan on dining at Hells Kitchen, Joe's Seafood Steak Stone Crab, and Bugsy & Meyers Steakhouse during the week stay too.

Regarding room upgrades . . .don't let them "sucker" you in to the "Stay Well" room as an upgrade since IMHO, it's just a gimmick. There are no upgrades "worth it" if you need two beds, because the next level would be a suite.

Other than that, I would say to try the Peking Duck at Mott 32 while staying at V/P.

    Have fun and good luck!!

Aria, Venetian, and Encore are 3 of my favorite LV places, so I'm following along.

    Day 1 7/23 recap

We flew SFO to Mccaarran on Southwest. The flight seem surprisingly full, but all the middle seats were indeed empty. Mostly everyone wore a mask! The atmosphere at Mccarran was much more livelier than SFO.

We took a cab to Aria upon landing. I had originally booked a 2 queen bed stay well resort room. At check in, I asked the nice front desk girl about any paid upgrades available. She said she had a 2 bedroom Skysuites available for $390/night upgrade fee. That price was cheaper than any of the suite upgrades when booking on Mlife. I accepted the offer and the FDA added an extra $100 FB credit to my room.

The suite was not a strip view, but still very nice. The cleaning in our room would have been better though. Upon entering the room, one of the bedrooms drawers still had a mens underwear inside. In the other bedroom, there was a few pieces of long hair underneath the sink.

I decided to play a bit of baccarat and played in the baccarat lounge at Aria. All the tables had dividers for maximum of 3 people. If the table had empty seats, your friends or family can sit and spectate. It was a decent shoe for me. Within an hour, I was up $23,000 and we decided to go hunt for food.

We walked all the way to Caesars Palace at 8pm and decided we would eat somewhere too. We tried to walk into Hells Kitchen without a reservation, but the hostess said they were only seating reservations that night. We settled on Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab. I had been there before but not my friend. Food was excellent as always! I decided to try my luck at the Caesar's baccarat tables. I noticed all the tables at Caesars for all games have no dividers, but still 3 players per table. Management wouldn't let my friend sit or stand nearby while I played. Sadly I lost all my profit here within an hour. We decided to walk back to the Aria.

Once we got back to the Aria, I decided to try the High Limit Lounge. I bought in for 20k at the roulette table and had a crazy time there. There was a spin where I put a black chip on 7,8,12 and 28. Few seconds after the dealer spun the ball, I randomly decided to bet 500 on #1 (I had no more black chips lol). Guess what hits? #1!!!! $17,500 payout. 20 minutes later, I decided to call it a night and came up 40k. I blew $500 on a slot machine and came up empty :/

Thoughts and observations: The strip was pretty lively on a Thursday night though I would say it was less people than a pre-covid summer Vegas strip day. Most people were wearing a mask. I was surprised also to find out room service hours at the Aria were only 6am to 2pm daily. I didn't like the fact that the Aria entrance doors are not open ajar for guests. I rather not touch a public door these days.

    Not a bad first day!

Very nice first day! I will miss sky suites this year. We stayed there last Summer and I grew fond of the complementary rose wine in the lounge. Enjoy!

Wild rides and an awesome start. Looking forward to more wins and how you end up rating wise at the end of your time at Aria.

I am LOVING your trip plans, including your staying at my home away from home -- Encore! -- though I have only always stayed in a regular Encore Tower Suites room. My second favorite hotel in Vegas is Palazzo. Even though you were moved to Venetian I'm still looking forward to reading about your experiences there.

I love how you sprung for the suite at Aria though I too would be annoyed about the poor housekeeping, which, in a Covid environment, should be exceptional.

Congrats on the fantastic winning first day and enjoying a wonderful meal with your friend.

    I'll be following along!

@amazub88 did Aria and Caesars let the players bend/touch the bacc cards? My local is still no touch even in HL. What were minimums? Thanks!

Yes, caesars and Aria HL both allowing touch/squeeze. Most of the tables at Aria started at $100 minimum while CP tables started at $200-500. There was maybe one $100 table from what I saw.

Enjoying your report. Interested to hear your take comparing the antivirus efforts of the three hotels.

Continued good luck! I think these casinos should reward the people willing to travel with a winning trip.

Hope they don't check for gambling fever....I'll be off the charts!

Wonderful, exciting read!!! Gotta say, virus or no virus, I would have been quite upset if my room had not been spotless.

Beat me too it, but I’m sure they will make it right.

@amazub88 I know the SkySuite comes with limo transportation to/from airport. Did I read somewhere there is access to a house car with the room also?

Strong work so far. I feel a 11 bank in a row in the near future!
