This whole trip report has been fantastic. I really enjoyed reading through it the last few nights.

I'm just sitting here stunned at the gaul of the check-in story guy. I would think they could have realistically had the guy arrested for assault. Hopefully he was not a carrier & the pregnant woman is fine.

And hopefully you guys remain safe and healthy

Little photo dump before I clear out the pics in the phone everyone. This was a very fun trip report to do and as I said before, worth a 14 day quarantine.

Crawling back to my room at the end of the night.[IMG]

PCH Extras. But calling pics from this drive “extras” just seems wrong.

Not that this dude wasn't a complete asshole, but WTF is your pregnant wife doing in Vegas during a time like this (or any time)??? I mean, holy shit the stupidity of people and then expect the world to revolve around them. Still super whack on the coughers part, but you always gotta the blame to both sides.

I never considered that angle in regards to going to Vegas while pregnant. I might not disagree with all of you very sensible points on your post @jdk

Thanks for the TR - it was really fun to follow along on the ride, especially with the jaunty joie de vivre we’re accustomed to seeing on your TRs enhanced with some nice wins; congrats :clap:

Okay you guys. One last amusing story that I totally forgot about until tonight. One of the boys encouraged me to post this.

As those of you that have followed sling will know, JR mussed her earlier flight to Oakland but was meeting me in Reno. She had to drop $500 US fir a one way on Alaska which was literally $461 more than I originally paid for her Allegiant flight about a month ago. Now during our chat earlier in the day I might have mentioned that her propensity for tardiness connected with a $500 flight could be considered Natural Consequences. That did not go over real well.

So I wanted to greet her after a lousy travel day with road pops, fruit, and snacks for our drive to Tahoe she found could eat and get her drunk started.

I was gassing up at a sketchy little generic gas bar behind Atlantis and I picked out a few coolers and brought them to the counter. Well sure enough she asked for IS and she was serious! Now, even though I did have my mask on over my mouth, that is a legit ID. I couldn't believe it. But from a guy who has celebrated NUMEROUS 40th birthdays, will take it! I couldn't get the passport out fast enough. She took one look at it and said "What are you doing here? You Canadians aren’t allowed down here.” I explained I found a loophole and that I came over the Montana border on a rustled horse. I am not sure that she didn’t believe me.

Ok, pretty sure that’s the last of my stories.

@Gaggles loved the whole trip report and I was happy to see another Canadian willing to travel to Vegas! Since I'm on the East Coast I normally connect through Toronto, but since I'm on my 4th flight change for my trip that's happening soon (11 days!), I'm now connecting through Calgary. When I fly from Toronto I always sit on the right side of the plane (F seat) to have the view of the Strip as I land. Would that be the same on a Calgary flight, or should I be choosing a left side (A seat)?
I'm now making 2 connections each way, currently with a 16 hour layover in Calgary on the way home (trying to change that since I'm not supposed to go to a hotel because of quarantine rules lol) but I'm not willing to give up this trip, I need it after 3 1/2 months of online kindergarten teaching!!

I am hip to your groove on your commitment to getting to Vegas. I cannot recall for certain which side of the plane you want but I am 90% sure you would want the right hand side if you are choosing seats. I had to go Calgary-Vancouver-Seattle-Vegas. Two stops to get to Vegas is two flights too many. Direct from Calgary is only 2.5 hours. Living in fear aint living to me and I hope you have a groovy time in Vegas. Ship us a TR! I won't go back until Canada drops this two week quarantine thing so those of us in The Great White North will be getting our Vegas fix through others I suspect.
