We've been to vegas the end of June and were so shocked how hot the 'dry' heat felt and swore we'd never go back in the summer. Fast forward to now lol.

Had such a great time over superbowl weekend this year i'm starting to try and dig around for cheap flights for mini trip in July or August this summer but thought i'd ask if anybody knows if one month is particularly worse than the other.

2nd question: Trying to work in trip around concert at Red Rock casino. Not sure if we should just plant it there for 2 or 3 nights (appears as though they have a free shuttle to airport and fashion mall) or take a cab from the strip. fyi, cost is an issue as this is a bonus trip and the red rock is in $200 night range with decent hotels on strip @ $50night for that weekend.

Vegas is like Alaska weather... unpredictable

You can assume that it will be hot, hot, hot....
But the weather does change sometimes during the day or night to a little
    bit cooler.
One day.... there could be cool winds at the same time that it is hot.

My advise is DON'T WEAR FLIP-FLOPS in the hot sun. You can feel the hot
sun under your toes. It can feel like it is burning your feet. The skin on
your feet start to look like it belongs to a mummy from the Luxor Hotel.lol.

Just be prepared to always carry water with you. I notice that a lot of tourist don't carry bottles of water with them as they walk around the hot sun.

Hot weather doesn't bother me at all because I go totally prepared for the
    hot weather. Lucy

    Hot, hot, hot....

We were in Vegas the end of July / beginning of August a couple of years ago.

We stopped for gas at 10 at night and the temp was 98 degrees, had problems with the pump so it took about 10 minutes. A brisk wind came up and I hoped that would start to cool things down. I was wrong, the temp climbed to 106 in that 10 minutes.

We did a trip second week of august. It was hot, but it had no impact on us whatsoever. You are inside 90 % of the time anyway. We even did a morning hike through Red Rock Canyon and it was fine.

And you can see my countdown clock below....another trip, arriving July 15.
