Hi, I come to Vegas several times a year, and utilize the American Casino Guide coupon that allows you to earn up to $100 in free slot play at the D. I notice the Las Vegas Advisor offers this same coupon. Has anyone used both of these on the same trip? Or are you allowed to? Seeing the same match coupons as well in many cases. Thanks.

I have always used all of my ACG and LVA coupons at the same time at all of the Downdown casinos except for the El Cortez. For some reason the El Cortez only allows you to use one coupon per day. The D, and all of the others, always cash in all of my coupons at one time. Very time efficient.

American Casino Guide I bought off of Amazon for around $12. LasVegasadvisor.com $37 gets you a year of their newsletter and a coupon book.

Both books are VERY much worth the investment. LVA has great coupons for both Palms and Cosmopolitan which each cover the cost by themselves. Also roughly $150 in freeplay/matchplay. You can spend an afternoon downtown just hitting the casinos and gambling with vitually no risk.

You can use these on the same trip, but these particular coupons are best used on different days (or 24 hour periods) when you will be at the D playing anyway. I use them every year

The coupons for the ACG and LVA rake in so much money for the purchaser. I get a rental car and spend a day (or two) driving around Las Vegas playing the free slot play and match play. I find the winnings PAY for my costs to purchase the books AND cost of the car rental! My favorite thing to do on a solo Las Vegas trip. I get to learn the city. I get to try some local eateries recommended by Westie at fair prices. I get to see local sites like Red Rock Nature Preserve and Valley of Fire and Magic Mountains. These two books are sooo much fun.

Even better value from the two books is to trade coupons that you won't use for those you will use. See the "Coupon Trading" forum right here on VMB.

As far at The D coupons the OP is asking about. I don't think you can "double dip" and use both ACG and MRB coupons at the same time - I think you would have to max out on one coupon before using the other. I don't think you could max out the play (1,000 points) and turn in both coupons at the same time for $200 in free play. I'm pretty sure you would have to get 2,000 points in one day to use both on the same day. Also, if I were going to attempt this - I would turn in one after the first 1,000 points and get my free play and while I'm there ask the boothling ... "if I get another 1,000 points today, can I turn in the other coupon also?"

    Just my two cents.

    Cheers,
    Kelly
