You can now get a scanned preview of what is in your USPS mailbox. Now no longer do you have to walk to your mailbox and be surprised if you have mail or not. With informed delivery you can now check to see if you have mail from your computer or mobile device. Available in certain zip codes. My zip code has it and it is a great feature!

A man was in his front yard mowing grass when his attractive blonde neighbor came out of the house and went straight to the mailbox. She opened it then slammed it shut and stormed back into the house. A little later she came out of her house again, went to the mailbox and again opened it, and slammed it shut again. Angrily, back into the house she went. As the man was getting ready to edge the lawn, she came out again, marched to the mailbox, opened it and then slammed it closed harder than ever. Puzzled by her actions the man asked her, "Is something wrong?" To which she replied, "There certainly is!" My stupid computer keeps saying, "You've got mail!"

What should be in our mailbox and what is are two different things on our route.

At least once a week we end up with our neighbor's mail and he has ours.
(I must say the periodicals he subscribes to are way more interesting :wink2: than mine!)

They actually waste money on stuff like this, walk out to your mailbox, the excersize will do you good. They cry about losing money but yet they can pay nerds to devise crap like this.
Thats it,I'm moving to Costa Rica.

Do people still get important stuff in the mail? I only check my mail once every week or two, or if something I ordered online comes in.

Same with me. I'm a single guy and I hardly get mail on a daily basis. I often walk to my apartment mailbox and it is empty except for mostly junk mail. This informed delivery will be great and save me a trip to the mailbox.

no USPS DELIVERY Scanned system suck bawls
.. why ? 5 or 6x times.. it showed that my packages has arrive and delivered to a "front desk or handed to a clerk" .. but i work in a shop where i can clearly see if anyone or any usps employee delivered the package.. but nope

5x out of 6x ..they said it delivered but i never got the package.. and i would have to be on the phone with usps 1800 clerk for hours to see where my packages is at.. and 60% of those time i found my package and the other 40% they lost it..and god know where the package are at... so Usps suck

You are better off contacting the postmaster at the post office that delivers your packages. Others on that driver's route may be having the same problem.

I went ahead and signed up for this new service. I get stuff delivered all the time. I really love the service where I get alerted that a tracked package is being sent to me and get updates when it is scanned.

Most mail is stuff you need to line the hamster cage.

Judging by these posts, I guess I am one of only a few people who thinks the USPS does a great job. Mail comes everyday, never lost a package.

    Yep.

And they have never, ever lost a bill. They keep coming. Though I pay everything online, and order lots online, I still have my credit card statements come in the mail. And I get about 20+ of those a month. I have dropped IRA statements to only the annual and even that is sort of stupid.. need tos top those.

When I open a new credit card, I get the first monthly statement in the mail, just so I have a hard copy. After that it's all e-statements.

Informed delivery would ruin my husband's joy as to what he might find in the mailbox every day! He loves waching for the mail delivery every day (our community maibox is next to our driveway). He chats up our carrier to the degree we've kept up with her two daughters activities from childhood and now away at college! When we are on vacation, she just automatically holds our mail and brings it the day we return.
But I'm curious what she thinks about the volumes of Casino and Cruise mailers we get every week

She is a professional and as soon she began our route about 14 years, all the misdelivered and nondelivered mail problems we had previously immediately disappeared. Happy campers.

Tried out this new, free feature from the USPS called Informed Delivery. Every morning I received an email from them with a scan picture of all the mail I'm to receive that day. Package deliveries that are scheduled, are also listed.

I don't know how they do it, but it is very cool. OTH, it takes just a touch of the excitement away from walking down the driveway to get the mail. You already know what's in the box.

Edit: Oops! Redundant because I didn't see original thread and started a new one. Mods moved it here.
