Do you think it is good to give your players card when placing bets? Sports betting is now legal and wondering if you guys think it is a good idea to give them my players card when placing bets. I don't gamble their much as they are mychoice which is partners with Tropicana on strip which not to interested in. So is it good idea to still give players card when placing bets?

Do you earn comps as it stands now? When you do bet sports, do you bet a lot or a little?

I had heard once that someone lost their ticket and because they used their players card the casino was able to find the bet. Not sure if this is true, but that’s what I heard.

I know it's true with William Hill, can't speak to others.

I feel like that might possibly work for me. They have kiosks that I use and when i put my card in today I saw that I'm able to see bets I made the other day.

This works for Caesars properties. I always use my card when placing bets not so much for the comps but for the event that I do lose my ticket - especially for futures bets.

95% of my bets are at CET properties. I generally give them my card but I honestly doubt it really helps me. The only reason I do is because they ask so often.

This changed within the last ~2 years. They used to never ask for a card and now it seems they do the majority of the time. No clue what changed on their end.

They ask for it at Ameristar. Next time I make a bet (I am on the road this week) I will check points before and after and post what it is.

Giving your card helps if you misplace the betting slip

I’m following this thread hoping for the answer to “why would you not?” The whole point of the card is to have your activity tracked in hopes of future rewards. Why hide the fact that you’re making a bet?

One reason could be if you don’t plan on playing at the casino that day. If you’re going to sit and watch games and bet on sports but not hit the tables or slots, the casino could look on that as a low play day and it could affect future offers.

I don't think that you get comps for sports bets. I could be wrong, but I have never seen it or heard of it.

In August I did some bets with my players card at Bally's & CP
Spots book was closed so I went to the cashier to cash winning bets.
1st item they asked for was my players card.
Not sure why because when sport book is open they never ask for a card cashing winning tickets.
