Somebody mentioned seatguru.com in another thread, I thought it might be useful to gather a bunch of flight-info related links, and maybe sticky it. Such as:

http://www.seatguru.com/ - shows seat maps for all commercial planes

http://www.flightview.com/ - track the status and location of a flight
http://www.fly.faa.gov/flyfaa/usmap.jsp - FAA flight delay info

Airport info:
http://www.gofox.com/flights/airportmaps.php - Terminal maps
http://mccarran.com/ - home page for McCarran airport, Las Vegas

itasoftware.com

very handy for searching flight prices but you can;t buy tickets there - you can drill down to get fare codes for flights though.

Useful Non-DING! fare hunter for Southwest

Southwest calls it the "Southwest Shortcut"

http://www.southwest.com/cgi-bin/lowFareFinderEntry

After clicking this link you will see six drop-down menus

Departure City
Arrival City
Return:
Departure Date
Arrival Date
Passengers

after filling in your menus and clicking "Go to Next-Step-Select Travel Dates"

you will see prices for the flights for the dates selected. Hope this works for all of you.

please beware of all these sites. especially in big markets. let us not forget they are in buisness to make money. i'll use the flight i fly most as an example... newark nj - vegas on continental $1298 first class. every single site, every one, lists a higher price. orbitz, priceline, expedia, travelocity, etc. that itasoftware lists it at over 1400 for the same exact flight. smaller market deals are there but always go through the airline first. i have almost 2 million miles on continental and almost a million on delta. i do not travel for buisness so i fly on my own dime. airline site is always cheaper unless your dates are extemely flexible.

Is there a website that shows reviews from big and/or tall people advising which airlines, planes, seats, rows, etc are best and/or just comfortable?

Agreed. All of those sites you mentioned always seem to be hundreds of dollars more than it would be if you booked the airfare directly from the carrier. I also fly from NYC (JFK) and those sites just never have a bargain, at least for an east coaster.

Aggregators are nice to see which airlines fly where you want to go, what routes they take, what kind of aircraft, flight times etc. I'll always book directly with the airline - but I have to figure out which airline I want to use, first:peace:

Tnsteve - I haven't seen a website just by big/tall people, but Seatguru gives you pitch and other dimensions for all seats on most aircraft, by layout of the airline.

Now - what's the website that helps you figure out when to buy your ticket? We're looking at November to AMS and I am trying to strategize when to buy the ticket......

Thanks - farecompare is what I was thinking of. I have a kayak alert set up for my itinerary but it's only moved $20 or so (in both directions) since I started looking a month ago....
