Have not stayed at Wynn or Encore in at least 4 years.

I still receive a mailer twice a year for 3 comped nights in a Deluxe Resort Room.
I'm thinking about staying 2-3 nights on a Tues.-Thur or Fri. before moving to Aria.

When I called I asked how much to upgrade to the Tower Suites and the agent said you cannot upgrade on this promo.
They said I would have to book the Tower Suites separately at whatever deal I could find.
The prices to book online was $390 night for Tues and Wed which is crazy.

So I'm wondering what my chances are to upgrade at check in.
I am OK with an upcharge of $50-100 night but do not want to pay $400.

I've been told by multiple front desk agents that they cannot upgrade comped rooms. Whether this is just for people comped by a host or anyone using a marketing offer, I don't know. Though, from what the agent told you when you called, I'm guessing it's a no go for both.

I've asked about an upgrade from Resort to Tower as well as an upgrade from Tower to a suite. No dice each time because I was comped. The best I've been able to do is get an upgrade to a Panoramic room out of a front desk agent (free a few times but more recently, $20/night).

I seem to remember when I called in to speak to the reservation agent when I booked my three night comp offer (received via mail as well) that she tried to upsell me to the tower. I could be mistaken but I remember saying no thanks that I would take the panoramic deluxe that was in the offer.

Do you remember the upgrade amount, Rocky? The Tower side is fantastic. (Sadly, my play the past few trips now gets me Tower OR freeplay, not both.)

    I thiiiink it was $199/nt.

She was super professional and easy to talk to - we ended up BS'ing for about 15min - but when she brought it up and I said no thanks she then bumped me to the panoramic view basic room which I was cool with.

Sounds like maybe the the option to upgrade is promo specific based on what Nittany says.... and maybe they'll offer a reduced amount per night at check in depending on the dates? Although that doesn't sound doable since you said you were shot down at the desk...

Quick question - can I use the invited guest line on a mailer offer?

Since you get an either/or - is the Tower worth letting the free play go?

    Thanks for the info.
Since I really want the tower I wonder if they ever offer a casino rate on the Tower Rooms.
Normally I would think not since it has been so long but I must still be in the database.
