I stayed at the Mirage three weeks ago, paid for three nights and one was comped at the end of the stay. Redeemed $50 free play offer with no problems on the day of my comp stay.
I'm guessing you didn't use an MLife offer when you booked? This is my issue. I am using an MLife offer and according to the rules one cannot redeem the freeplay if booked with an Mlife offer. I got 2 million points in MyVegas and really no way to use them. I can get a free drink or two but those use up what, 20k? Even their free room nights always come attached with restrictions and unless I am willing to move hotels you can't combine MLife and MV offers. (Even then I'm not sure) Then they offer these supposed great discounts, but the discounts are worse than if you have a players card and gambled $20 at some point. For example, My coin in last year was $2,600. (yes, that's it, and all in VP) I am staying at the Mirage in March with 3 comp nights and 2 at $25. In August I am booked at the Luxor in a tower elite king room with 4 comp nights and 2 at $35 plus $50 resort credit and $20 in freeplay. When I stayed in 2020 it was before Coronavirus and I got 3 free nights at MB plus 2 at $25 a night IIRC all for playing $1500 total coin in during a trip in 2018.
They have let me use an MLife offer in combination with MV every time as long as it's not a full comp offer, but like I noted, if your MLife offer includes freeplay, they wont allow use of double-dipping in MV and MLife freeplay on the same stay, just one or the other. And the MyKonami freeplay can be used regardless with or without a stay and with or without casino offer freeplay. This has been 100% consistent in my experience, but I have had them bend the rules a little in my favor as well here and there.
I did use an Mlife offer. I booked the paying nights first in my Mlife account (with the Mlife discount). Then, I redeemed the comp night in the myVegas app. I believe they'll allow you to redeem a freeplay offer if you're paying for some of your nights. They did NOT let me redeem a freeplay offer previously when I stayed on a full comp visit.
I wonder if anyone has tried a version of the $20 trick with regard to this? I have a mixed stay coming up (partially comped, partially paid, includes FP), and it seems that, according to the rules, there's no way that I should be allowed to redeem the $100/$50 MV rewards. But I figure that I should be able to turn $150 in FP into at least $100 real money at VP, so slipping $20 to the person at the MLife desk would be well worth it. Anyone have any stories/experience with something like that?
So I just booked May through my wife and I's M-Life portal. Four comped nights for her, and three for me (both offers stated we had some comp food and free play). You fine folks are saying we can not redeem any of our MyVegas rewards? That is really lame. The Borgata comps us and we can redeem any and all MyVegas rewards when we stay there.
since this seems to change every couple of months i just want to confirm this... i can cash in my four MyKonami freeplays just as always... and then i have up to 4 more BOGO offers that I can use, since they aren't premium awards? but a free beer or anything that's 100% comped would be considered premium and not able to be used? is that right?
The MyKonami freeplays are premium rewards, so if your limit is 4 of those, then yes. The BOGO rewards should not be premium and you can use as many of those as the game will allow you to purchase. There are no limits on the number of non-premium rewards as long as you use just 1 of each (unless the reward allows purchase/use of more than 1 per batch, and I can't think of any like that currently.) The free drink like Mirage is showing for 7500 lps, is a premium reward as well, so in this scenario, you couldn't use it and all 4 of the freeplays on the same trip.
The only thing I can confirm to a certainty (because it happened to me) is you cannot use freeplay rewards when you're staying on a completely comped stay.
