Unfortunate Lyft incident

    So much mixed information in these posts...hopefully this doesn't dissuade people from using these services.

    Taxis are worse in 9/10 scenarios...Either more expensive, long hauling, dirty cabs, whatever. And when something goes wrong you have little recourse with a taxi, and if you try it's a major hassle.

    If you have an issue with Uber/Lyft, you can get it solved in less than a day, exactly like the person who made this post did. It's fantastic, for the few bad apples out there.

    And most likely the awful driver is now not driving. It really doesn't take many complaints for a driver to get revoked from Uber/Lyft. Just file the complaint, get refunded the money, move on.

    The one key advice to take to heart here is pay attention. Your phone literally shows you a map of where you are going. It's the exact same GPS map that like, google maps would make for you. Keep your phone open to the Uber/Lyft app in your hand and watch it while you drive. I can almost guarantee few if any issues if the driver sees you being attentive and not acting like an absolute tourist
