So one the tips and tricks portion of this trip report, here goes...

    - Don’t use the hand sanitizer in the Cosmo kit they provide. You’re welcome...
    - It’s 85 degrees outside on the balcony. I can’t tell, because I cranked the air and it’s coming through the open door. I could probably do this all day if I had to!
    - Just move COMPLETELY out of the way of the scooter. I’ve seen, and been involved in, some near misses. If that bastard made me spill me Starbucks earlier, words would have ensued.

So I kind of did a thing, too. At first it was just a 3 day weekend trip in October. Then I saw your trip report and extended it to a full week and will try the “Working from Home/Las Vegas hotel” thing for a few days.

I’ll be following your trip report for sure!

    Win big!

So with the good comes the bad... Cosmo craps turned. Cosmo Blackjack was good until I got saucy and played purple for a hand with 2 splits and 2 doubles. So.... The dealer got 21 and I didn’t on a single hand. That’s a pretty big swing. :rolleyes2:

So I’m calling it a night. Will work tomorrow morning and will hit Palace Station again after that. Old school pit boss comp for pan roast that I couldn’t use today!

Ugh... Alcohol is bad. I haven’t been this hungover in a long time.

So for those of you who are blackjack players, this is for you. They say you need to talk about a bad experience to process and make it go away, so here goes...

I’m drunk at this point, so I get a bit stupid with betting. But I literally saw 4 hands in a row with only one face card coming out. So all of us at the table went big. GREAT table by the way... I bet $500, and looking around I was the lowest bet. So my hand? 8/8. Dealer shows 6, so it’s time to have some fun! Split, then get a 3 so now I’m in for $1500. Face down of course! Okay, my other 8... Another freaking 8 so resplit and now I’m in for $2000. Start getting that feeling in my stomach. Not necessarily a good or bad one, but it’s there. Either I’m going to look like a champion, or get fed to the damn lions. Next card? 2.... Fuck, gotta do it so I pull out $500 and double. I’m in for $2500. Another face down card and the on the 3rd 8 I get a 10. So I know I at least have a fighting chance, and there will be socially distanced high fives and lots of dealer tipping. I think the total on the table was like 7k? So... dealer flips over a 7 for 13 and then literally I’ve never seen a card turned over any slower. I think that’s just how I’m remembering it in my alcohol induced state, but the MFing 8 appeared and we were all like damn... I lose in the 18, and I know I’ve lost already on the 8/2 double. I really need some paint to save me $1000. Nope, just a 9.

I had some great hits on slots. A nice VP hit with @Astribling and @smbrake. They got some nice hits too! I had a decent run on the craps table before that. Hit the all tall, and was a freaking 6 away from the all... Who can’t roll a 6!!!! I’ve been hitting them all session while setting the 4’s with 2’s in the back.

So... there you have it. Basically a $5000 swing in one hand. And it sucks when everyone does everything right and it doesn’t work out. That’s gambling people...

In a couple hours, I’m heading to Palace Station for me comp for pan roast. Then, some lunch at Holsteins with @44inarow later on. I’m hoping it’s still good after the recent naysayers. But that what I need to reset and get positive. I may just sit today out gambling wise. It still stings a bit! But we’ve all been there one way or another.

My man @Jer you are like a rainbow in the dark! Hella bummer about that BJ hand, but being hella close to even instead of being hella down after lots of gambling and boozing is still hella cool.
