Trips to Las Vegas
36
I have never been an Uber guy. I always cabbed it in Las Vegas and really never minded their fees. I always thought of it as the cost of doing business. This trip, I used Uber close to 10 times and I wanted to share my thoughts.

As a big guy (6'4 405 lbs), my first trip out of the gate was terrible. Super small car, I barely fit and it was just a miserable ride. It was just from The Orleans to downtown. While the fare was good, I just didn't fit. All but the remainder of my Uber trips, I switched over to premium. I did have one other economy trip (i think they had a prius), and that was ok size wise.

As for the premium trips, I fit in the car perfectly and had no issues, most of the cars were SUVs. I did find that on two trips I ended up with a BMW M series and that wasn't particularly roomy. The only sorta issue was the price of premium, it was significantly higher then a cab. I think I paid $50 bucks to go from The Orleans to Texas Station. I could have saved myself money by cherry picking the cab line for a suv and mini van and saved myself money.

Overall, Uber was easy to use, however with the price of premium, I might use cabs too, tho I like the ease of pickup when not at a casino using the app. I did have one issue, I got an Uber from Pizza Rock, the guy was close as I was walking down to meet him, someone else jumped in and he left. I had to call and have him to return to get me. No credit for the short distance he drove with the other guy, I had to call to get that taken off. But overall a great experience.

If you are a fat guy like me, be careful with the small uber cars, sometimes its worth it to spend a little more and be comfortable.

I presume you ordered Uber Select which is somewhat considered a black car. Uber XL would probably suit your needs for a lot less. They hold 6 and are almost always an suv. Probably about 40% less than Select

I used Lyft and hadn't noticed before this last trip that there was a way to select the different options on the left side of the app to get a roomier vehicle. Still learning this whole ride share thing, but it seems to come off much better.

Lyft is called Select for 6 pax/ (not same as Uber select)
