Uber Discount Question

I guess I screwed up. I joined Uber a few months ago and put a discount code in but never used it. Going to Vegas in a few weeks. I assumed it expired and when I try to put a code in it says one has already been entered. I never used Uber before, ever.

Is there a way to get a new first time user code to work? Creating another account?
 
Thanks I guess that makes sense or people would be using multiple accounts all the time. It's a shame the new ride expires without ever using it. I guess I can get my other half to get an account or just go with Lyft.
 
yep get Lyft/ Also have SO sign up under your referral code on Uber. Same for Lyft. You will both get rides/credits
 
There are other codes out there. If you have a CHASE card, enter CHASEUBER (I think) for $30 off you next ride. Maybe UBERCHASE - google it.

correct u only get it for first time users same with lyft but i noticed as a lyft customer the send me special deals all the time and uber dosent,like 50% off for the month. 5$ off for each ride.so lyft has been really good too me
 
If the user put in a code and never used it, and therefore has never used Uber - would a different "first time use" code work?
 
Yeah, I screwed up and did the same thing. I contacted Uber about it and basically I used a code by entering it even if I didn't actually use it so no other first time use codes are going to work for you. I decided to use Lyft instead to take advantage of a discount.
 
If you are planning to pay with American Express there is a new promo where you get up to two discounts for Airport pickups (only FROM the airport). Good for existing Uber users as well. I added the code to uber already even though we are going in December since they only allow so many people to use the code.

If it said the code has already been entered did you check and make sure it is not still there under promotions? I noticed sometimes they don't show under the payment tab, but do show under promotions tab.
