This week was the first time I have used a cab in over 3 years, normally a Lyft or Uber. From the airport to Bellagio we took a cab as there was no line. the cab was charging a flat rate which was 20 and some change. The driver said they started using a flat rate just before the virus started last year. When we left on thursday morning from the Bellagio at 430 AM the lyft app said $9.00 to the airport but there was no cars to be found so we ended up taking a cab to the airport. The app showed maybe 3 cars circling the airport.

I just found out about the flat rates. I would be happy to use a cab for a flat rate.

Same here. Took a cab (1st time ever in Vegas) Sunday March 28th to Luxor. No wait, $19 flat rate plus tip. Fast and easy.

    Lyft showed 30+ minute wait.

The CX was my next option....

The taxi flat rate from the airport to Bellagio is $23 from what I can tell online. Is that the current rate, and is $23 the total cost, other than the tip?

There's a credit card processing fee.... bring cash for the cab.

Until the rideshare shortage, I always took a taxi from airport, but Uber back to airport. Was more about convenience and walking distance than anything else.... I don't feel like passing the cabs and schlepping to the garage when I get off a plane; I wanna get to the casino!

    Last trip, cab both ways.

Cannot emphasize this enough. For all the talk about Uber/Lyft being "cheaper", within the resort corridor, a taxi is often cheaper as long as you're not paying the stupid extra $3 credit card fee. Vegas is a cash town, you should have at least a few $20s on you at any given time. And you're gonna need it for the gambling anyway!

Yeah, the thing is, for as much as "long-hauling" gets a bad rap, it often can be faster. The problem is that it's also more mileage, which without a flat fare made it undesirable. With a flat fare, it can be beneficial.

I was in Vegas last week. Found LYFT to be "more available" if you upgraded to a higher cost ride. Airport to/from strip can be close to the same via taxi or LYFT at the moment.

Need a good trip this time
