Secret Pizza. Best idea I’ve had all day.
I feel like I really need to do this since theo is almost zero. But probably on a solo trip because M would kill me for playing at a bartop for ~12 hours...
And so awesome that your uncle pulled the trigger on those seats!!!
Is your uncle this guy?
And how was the Strip chaos pre and post game? We LEFT Vegas mostly thanks to this game! We initially considered Tuesday to Tuesday.
At least I won a good chunk on the game at least.
it shockingly wasn’t bad. I prebooked an Uber to Mandalay Bay for 3:05 PM for $17. He showed up early. A little traffic right at Mandalay - maybe 5 minutes more than the trip would normally take. And then it was an easy walk across the highway to the stadium. It was hot though! They had a water station set up halfway across which I used. We could see traffic lined up on the stadium side of the highway - it looked pretty bad.
Leaving was a bit of a crush. I waited a while but needed the ladies room otherwise I probably would have stayed in my seat another five - 10 minutes which would have helped. Walked back over the bridge and took the first left, up behind Luxor then into Excalibur and then continued up the strip to Cosmo. Timed it well there were about six people in line when I got to Secret Pizza when I finished and was leaving line was all the way out the hallway to Blue Ribbon. Decided to try to grab the deuce north since Ubers were still in the $35-40 range. Good choice. Waited about five minutes for a bus and no problem getting on - even got a seat upstairs. Enjoying the ride.
Oh my God! That is possibly the most exciting football game I've ever seen, and YOU WERE THERE! Your Uncle is the man!
score!!! wow what a night for you..congrats..now get some wins at the machines.!!
I’m usually good until halftime on the EC. Needless to say it was more like 12:15 last night.
Elisa… your pics made it feel like I was there. Thanks
I was thinking of going to a Raiders game later in the season,
cheapest seats were about $200...your uncle easily paid well over 4-figures for the seats.
but, that game was well worth it! I was sitting at home wishing I was there.
You are a better person than me . My response to little miss "I’m sure space will clear up when they see how obnoxious I can be" -- Bring it sister. I'm from Texas. You don't even know 1/2 the shit I have to put up with on any given day. Anyone at the bar have a good cigar. I love to smoke cigars all day long. I'm sure we can share your ashtray. Bless your heart. Hey bartender -- Jose Cuervo is a friend of mine.....
I didn’t gamble. At all. Yesterday. Weird. Had a great day though - never thought I would experience such amazing seats at an NFL game. Had a blast with uncle and cousin.
Got up before my alarm (shocking) and put in a long day. Did sneak away for a break this afternoon for some VP (down $100 on $3,500 coin in) and slots (up $50).
Off to hit up some bars/locals casinos. Dinner somewhere. Eventually back here to put in some more VP play.
Back to Blue Diamond Saloon - my official decompressing after work spot.
Did the play $1,000, get $50 FP promo. Lost $5, but had two drinks. Love this locals bar. Great bartenders. Friendly locals. Wish it was closer to civilization.
I quite liked the brand of the small bottle .... . #insidejoke.
My plan in my head was to do dinner at Juan’s Flaming Fajitas in Henderson - but it looks they are closed on Tuesdays. So, with Mexican on my mind I figured I’d stop over at Silverton and use my $50 dining credit at Mi Casa. Quick stop at the bar where I turned $100 FP into $120 and a pink drink.
That hit the spot. Cadillac margarita
Corn and crab salad (had more shrimp than either corn or crab, but was very good
Carne Asada Burrito
I’m stuffed. Going to finish my margarita and then head onwards. I’m reading a book about Tibet and it is fascinating.
I have been to Tibet twice and it is absolutely fascinating!
Silverton! Love it. That place has some solid restaurants, the Sundance Grill, Mi Casa, and Wuhu Noodle are all good inexpensive choices. The higher end stuff has been closed for a while so we'll see about those if and when they return, but it's tough to get a lousy meal there.
Up $40 slotting my way out of Silverton.
Finished Emerald island up $20 slotting around, $80 on VP, and $20 from their cash back promo.
