Good luck! Find several royals again!

And watch overdoing Space Dust. Love it fresh, but too many for the night gives me a bad hangover.

Love following your TRs. Will be downtown this weekend and back again at 4Q for the Veteran's Day weekend promotion. Hopefully we can play some VP together one of these days.

Sounds good. I'll be at 4 Q's Thursday thru Saturday and again for the Veteran's Day promotion. I think I'm at the D this Sunday.

A place close to home refilled growlers with Space Dust for $10. Overdoing it was not nearly uncommon enough. I'll post some of the DC paytables to see if you find anything enticing

I've hit a bit of drama with my travel plans. My Anchorage flight is currently delayed by 50 minutes. If everything goes according to their schedule, I have 13 minutes to make my connection. Looks like I may be trading a 6 AM first Class seat for an 8:10 AM middle seat. While I hate middle seats, it is first world kind of a problem to have

Looking forward to the report, and diving into your previous report now. Multiple weeks of downtown video poker sounds awesome! Good luck on the remainder of your flights and especially on your gambling.

Although I am a strip fan, your downtown stays are informative and interesting and looking forward to following. Wishing you many royals and fine brewskies.

BTW - have cruised the inside passage twice and awed by the beauty and vastness of Alaska. Hope to be able to see much more in the future.

I made it to Vegas on schedule. It turned into a nice and quick trip. A friend drove me from Wasilla to Anchorage. I took her to dinner at the Anchorage location of 49th State Brewing. They have excellent beer and food. I'm including this for you Gambling Golfer. You can either hit the Anchorage Downtown location or the Healy location outside Denali Park. I had an excellent Crabby grilled cheese that came with clam chowder and French fries and I washed that down with one of their double IPA's and yes they not only make multiple IPA's, but they actually have more than one of their double IPA's on tap. My friend had Halibut tacos and washed it down with a pumpkin wheat. The beer sounded disgusting, but tasted surprisingly good. She loved it and thought her halibut tacos were the best ever. She liked it so much she asked if I needed a ride home upon my return.

I have a credit card with Priority Pass that usually gets me into the Alaska Lounge. They serve whole peppers, cheese, reindeer sausage and crackers. Usually this would be dinner, but last night it was a beer snack. They were serving Alaskan Amber and White, and were out of the local King Street IPA. I find AK lounges as good for providing local beer. Alaska Brewing is far from our best, but it is the most well known.

Every seat on the late outbound flight was occupied, but I was comfortable in my window exit row seat. They even gave me a Freemont IPA and a Chocolate bar. Sometimes I could see the lights of some Alaskan or Canadian town. The pilot must of broken the speed limit because he shaved several minutes off an already fast flight. I exited the plane about 15 minutes before the Vegas connection departure. I had been worrying a bit, but that was just a waste of emotional energy. They shut the door 5 minutes after I boarded and pushed back a few minutes later. The food service was egg bites. I ate a couple and still can't tell you what they were. I added a couple of strong coffees with Bailey's and was good to go when we touched down.

Alaska uses terminal 3. Their are 2 express buses that head downtown from there. I missed the Wax, but only had a 5 minute wait before the CX departure. The trip takes around 45 minutes on either route and cost $2 for the ride. ($1 for seniors 60+) I find early morning rides on these routes both cheap and relaxing. I missed my stop, but the one I got off at was probably closer to the MSS front desk. About an hour after I exited my plane, I was checking in. They gave me a room on the top floor facing the Plaza. I probably would have taken a nap if I could, so it was just as well that I had to wait for the room. The only thing that didn't happen fast was leaving my bag with the bellman The wait was about 10 minutes for him to get back.

Stay tune for Boar's Head Bar Gambling and drinking.... because there was some.

Thanks, @wasilla, for the restaurant tip. I've done some checking into food and drink and remember seeing them. We're staying at a BW in Anchorage so I'll find out how far (we'll have a car). We're actually staying just outside of Healy, so that works!

Looking forward to your BHB report. Good luck!

    Monday 10/22 at MSS.

I'd been up for about 24 hours when I got to MSS. Normally I have too much Vegas adrenaline for that to bother me, but this morning I wanted a nap. When my room wasn't available, I went to plan B, BHB.
BHB currently has 4 IPA's available. In addition to their own Carlsbad IPA on tap, they have Goose Island, Stone and Space Dust in bottles. Last time I was here they had bottled Sierra Nevada, but I didn't see it this time. In addition 777 have there temporary. Rye IPA on tap. I'm not a fan of Rye IPA's so it is not surprising that I didn't care for it. I liked their Cherry Porter better, but that isn't a favorite either. I'm currently sipping on a 22oz one, and am sure that many Porter lovers will love it.

I got to BHB at 10:15 to await the call for my room, to drink, and to gamble. Oleg offered me my standard first order of coffee and Bailey's. AK air had taken care of that so I started on a large White Russian.
I like MSS and BHB. This is only a 2 day stay and my free room mailers ended this month. I'm not sure why my the offer got cut completely off. I went from 3 any day rooms, FP and food comp and tournaments each month to Casino rates. I decided to switch up my M.O. this stay. I'd gamble a decent amount today and more with the point multiplier tomorrow. I'm not going to ask the host for anything so that their system can't rate me as over comped. They still have free before 3 PM buffets for earning 15 TC's, tomorrow is Senior Day, I have a $20 room credit and I got a $25 food credit from the mystery game. That should be plenty.

At 10:15 am I started playing .25c JOB. The game ebbed and flowed for the first half hour. At 10:48 I drew 6's, at 11:06 I got 2's, at 11:21 I got another set of 2's and realized I was playing the wrong game. While I was playing, the couple that were my neighbors got a RF holding 2. They left and the next couple both got Aces. I got 8's at 11:41 and had almost doubled my $100 buy in. I lost 350 credits over the net 40 minutes. Towards the end, I got my room call and quit even at 12:21 pm after 2K coin in. The machine worked perfectly and I was getting close to 800 hands an hour even though I was waiting for scratch cards. This is faster than I usually play. I got four $2 SC's and had earned $1 worth of points.

I got my key, bag and buffet voucher and headed to my room. I didn't bother asking for a coffee maker this stay. I expect to get my coffee at BHB. I tried to do a trip report entry but I couldn't get the internet to work. I finally went to the buffet, but wasn't very hungry. The buffet had changed up a bit. There were chicken fajitas instead of the standard lunch tacos. There was fish at the Hawaii section and the carving station had Italian Sausage links. I ate a small plate of food and headed back to the bar.

I ordered a Space Dust IPA and started a 3 hour .25c JOB session at 3:05. I was dealt a Diamond SF within a few minutes. I drew 7's at 3:27, dealt 8,s at 3:52, got 3's at 4:19, 7's at 4:41, 8's at 5:11, 3's at 5:27, and 2's at 5:41. I could have made a killing on 10 play. Most of the time I had over 600 credits peaking at 680.I then hemorrhaged credits for over 1/2 hour and cashed out even again at 6:18 pm. I did have 8 more scratch cards, including a $3 one. I had played over 5k coin in and now had $2.50 worth of points for today.

I went back to my room and the internet still didn't work. I had to talk to IT to get on. I made a TR entry during my long break. Since tomorrow's point multiplier adds an extra .5% EV and because I'm tired I decided to only sacrifice $100 today. Since I hadn't lost anything yet, I went back to the bar.

I started playing at 9pm. I lost my hundred at 9:34. I put another hundred in at 9:35. It took some seconds to blow up my plan. I hit 8's at 9:45 and 7's at 10:11. I won back and lost around $50 several times. At 10:43 my credits dropped back down to my $100 rebuy and I cashed out. I had played around $6,500 for the day and had earned over $3 worth of points. I also had $29 worth of scratch cards.

I used $7 of my room credit for a 777 cheese quesadilla and a 22oz cherry porter.

I found this a relatively volatile JOB day that was mitigated by my SF and some other luck. I'm going to round my play to 6k for simplicity's sake. I'd expect to lose .5% at JOB for around $30, but I have no reason to expect a RF so I'm actually at a 2.5% short term disadvantage for a $150 expected loss. I'm by no means unhappy, but I hope to win tomorrow. I'll probably supplement my single line JOB with some multiline play. I'd like to hit 20k coin in this stay to see if my offers will kick back in.

Great following the trip so far, Wasilla! Wishing you some excellent results and good brews at BHB. Also really keen to see how you like DTG and Gold Coast, two properties I am curious about. If DTG gives you good mailers for your play, it could end up being an attractive proposition for VP players even if their slotclub is on the tight side. It is also a nice casino to play in, which is a consideration that also counts for something.

Hope you have a better day today at BHB. Funnily enough, a bank in China gave me a fake 100 dollar bill the other day when I was doing an exchange. Made me think back to our meeting at BHB!

    Best wishes!
