Trump is a grade A ******bag. I'm glad his Vegas presence is so minimal.

Trump's casinos have been bankrupt three times, I think his ownership stake is 10% or less. I don't think Wynn has gone bankrupt.

I would be almost sure Trump knew he would one day take those properties into BK before he even signed the papers on the deal and he still made plenty of money I am sure

Trump is a lousy business man who somehow finds people to keep lending him money, then those lenders are left to fight, to get back pennies on the dollar.

Whereas, Wynn is a visionary who finds people to lend him money...difference is, the lenders usually get all their money back.

Who would you cast? I can kinda see a few options for Wynn but I am drawing a blank on Trump.

    Darryl Hammond, formerly from SNL:rolleyes2:

I think the shareholders got screwed, but the bondholders traded debt for equity which was wiped out on the second and third bankruptcy. I recall that Trump Plaza was going to be sold recently for $20 million, but Carl Icahn blocked the sale as it was too low.

This book is in my library, I am going to check it out.

Didn't Wynn sell junk bonds for Bellagio and then the cost overruns led to MGM's overtake? Might not be a legit bankruptcy, but he would have been w/o MGMs involvement.

I also had a cab driver tell me that the only reason Wynn built Encore was to block the view of the strip from the condos Trump's wife was building.

Trump plays the game the way the rules allow and to some it might be dirty, but it is allowed in the rules so he does what he is allowed

and lenders love to loan to him because they get some payments for a while which looks good on the books and then if things go under they get an equity stake and the shareholders that are attracted to the Trump name lose their stake and then when things are all better that equity stake is sold off and repeat

it is like having a tote the note car lot only with million and tens and hundreds of million dollar properties instead of $5,000 dealer auction cars
