Amazing! Best of luck in the new tournaments! Well hell, maybe I'll play a cheap tournament or two myself when I'm in town! Any words of wisdom for those of us who are new to tournaments? I am totally memorizing names now to freak out the other players! Bravo!

Just to update you: I'm playing in the WSOP $1500 Double Deepstack tourney and we've just gone on dinner break after 6 hours of play. There are 30 minute levels and it will become very much a shovefest so its high votility.

However, currently on 222,900 chips which I think puts me in 6th place at the moment out of 2235 runners.

Great, Andrew. Glad I have someone to rail again. Just can't get interested anymore in main event since all the ones I followed are now out.

Awesome read! I have been away from the board a few days because I was watching the Main on ESPN and PokerGO!

I came back to find this awesome TR. Congratulations, and now go win the double stack!

Hellmuth just late registered. Maybe you can beat him in a hand and get your own personal rant from him.

Hi guys. Update on the Double Deepstack...

Got busted at 450th out of 2569 runners. With 389 paid. Had 127000 chips left but blinds 5000/10000 10000 ante.

So had the stopwatch running on my phone to time each rotation of the table to see if I could possibly squeak into the money before being blinded out. Probably just short was my calculation as play bound to slow up near the bubble. So really needed a double up to be sure.

Finally got AA. Went all in and got beat. Here's how..... attached.

Couldn't quite see how I'd been beat at first lol.

But another pretty deep run. Nonetheless. Screenshot_20190711-224146_Samsung Internet.jpg

Im confused. How did this get to the river if you only had 12.7BB to start?

Checked down. I wanted to try and extract and the board seemed pretty safe. But I missed the straight possibility. But as it was I was stuffed by the turn anyway.

I didn't jam before the flop as I wanted to collect more than the Blinds.

She didn't have masses of chips. About 190k. So wouldn't have expected her to call my open raise with 35 off.

I had her on Arag, maybe hitting a low pair or broadways

Aces are your downfall twice! Wow! Paired 9s on the board both hands too lol. The 9 on the river was a sign!!

Kristen is a top Canadian Pro...seems that she had respect for your game with no insta-call. Still bad luck, and she has made the money with the resulting stack!

Man, tough beat. If the flop is a 9-9-x, there is no way she stays in but she flopped to that possible straight.

Also, unless I am misunderstanding what game is being played, who the hell stays in with a 5-3 off suit?.

Thanks! Yes, I hope so. I suspect it won't probably be for the Main Event next year, but hopefully in 2021. I had permission from a very special 7 year old girl (who's my daughter) to miss her Birthday on the 7th July to come to the USA to play in the Main Event. She gave me her 'SuperZing' for good luck, which has been on top of my chip stack throughout the tournament. So I really need to be home for her 8th Birthday next year. However, I will see if I can get out earlier to play in some earlier WSOP events next year.

From what English said, it sounded like pre-flop he didn't raise much if at all... on the flop she had the up-and-down straight draw (3456) so she wasn't going to fold to a small bet... on the turn she hit the straight (23456)....

Yeh. Just slightly over min raised to 13000. Everyone else folded. So we're heads up. If I had gone all-in preflop would have only collected the Blinds which less likely than more likely would have got me to the money.

So took a risk in seeing the flop and hoping she hit a pair. But I missed seeing the potential draw to the low straight.
