  1. I stayed at the Monte Carlo last weekend, 8/24, 25 and 26. Check in took less than 4 minutes at 5:30 PM. The room was very nice and the pools were great, although crowded. The brew pub had great food and the craps and roulette tables treated me very good. I actually left with more $$ than I came with. That's the first time that happened in many years. I would definitely stay at MC again. Nothing negative to say about it. I had an exfoliating treatment in the spa and that was very nice. The spa is on the same par as Harrah's, but a little cheaper. I didn't go to any buffets...I just gambled and consumed adult beverages. When I was hungry, I went to the food court or the Brew Pub. One night I spent a couple hours at a Bellagio roulette table and was also a winner. Overall, I had a very good time. I'll be back in March. Personal note: It's INCREDIBLY HOT in Vegas during August.

LOL! Hot in August you say? Who'd have guessed. [IMG]

I love the food at the brew pub at Monte Carlo. We had some seriously slow service there.

How was the noise level in the rooms? I've heard that the uh.. plumbing can be quite loud in your neighboring room. Did you notice that?

    Thanks for sharing your report!

Actually, now that you've reminded me, I did hear excessive 'plumbing' noises from the next room, on two separate mornings! As for the service at the Brew Pub, yes, it was a bit slow, but the quality of food made up for it...Besides, I had plenty of time to try all their brews. And yes, I know it's terribly hot that time of year, I guess I was a little younger last time I was there in summer - I usually go in Oct/Nov, or April/May.

That's when I like to go.. fall and spring. The weather is perfect! But summer has it's perks.. the prices are better and the crowds aren't too bad. If you can stay inside during the day it's not too bad.
