Good Morning! Had a good trip last week.
1. American Airlines from Boston.... during a stopover in St. Louis they discovered a problem and we had to change planes. Just delayed our fun for 1/2 hour. However, they only served drinks and pretzels. Imaging going across the entire country and not getting fed??!!
The red eye trip back was pretty good, at least got a sandwich.
2. Ambassador Limo met us at the airport. Fantastic car, great driver. They picked us up at the end of the trip on time, again....great car, great driver. I highly recommend them.
3. The Mirage. They were sweet at the front desk, making a fuss out of daughter's 21st birthday. Gave her spa passes and sent up champagne. Kind of wierd, but they took $130 off the bill saying it was because we paid for the 2 extra people in the room. I think it was because the rates must have went down. The pool is not open as of 4/2 so they sent us over to TI pool. They promise it will be open on Saturday morning. It wasn't. They partially opened it on Sunday, our last day. Looks really nice.
I cannot believe the new penny, two cent and nickle machines all over the place. Dear Hubby put in a dollar at a Beverly Hillbillies penny machine and pulled out $50 within an hour! Lots of cheap fun. I hit 3 red 7's on my last pull before leaving for home!
Buffet and California Pizza Kitchen were great as was the coffee shop.
I don't think that the bathroom could be any smaller. It was awful, sure could not be compared to the Venetian!
4. Read so much on this board about FatBurger that we had to visit. Wow....awesome burger. Had an Elvis sighting while we were there. Looked like a small movie was being made cause Elvis kept walking in and out of Fatburger. When we left, he was giving free Krispy Kreme jelly donuts away on the strip.
5. The "shock and awe" campaign.....daughters went to Circus Circus and bungee jumped 17 stories by their ankles then got their nose and eyebrows pierced.
6. Weather was really chilly, 50 degrees with 40 mph winds on Friday. We had a really hard winter in Boston and was really looking forward to 80 degree weather. In fact, we packed as if it would be 80 degrees......
7. Was given a really hard time for ordering Grey Goose Vodka as it is from France.
8. All in all, we had a nice time.Time seemed to stand still. Did not win anything. It would have been nice but I always go to PLAY.
